Or maybe they should just put a rated version in for hardcore pvp players. Leaving the unrated version for the not serious pvpers. Like how most games that focus on pvp do.As much as I liked the option of getting XP doing my favorite content, the playerbase - not the core PvPers, but the larger whole - have shown they have no regard or integrity for competition and just want free, easy XP. Get rid of it. Maybe then those who ACTUALLY enjoy PvP can do so again.
There aren't enough players to split the FL queues in most groups. I don't mind losing the XP if certain demographics cannot resist cheating relentlessly rather than playing the game they pay to play. I'd also support removing the XP for last place entirely, or for teams who don't manage at least some baseline progress towards the core objective (nobody on the third place team should be going home with XP if the final scores are 1600/1590/0, for example).
And like, actually banning exploiters from the mode. They don't deserve to be there if they don't want to try.

What complicates this is that screenshots aren't accepted as evidence. Neither is video. Neither is streaming.
So what's left to prove this is happening? GMs get the reports then tell us they can't give specifics about their internal investigations, yet the same people wintrade for 4 Feast seasons and get away with it, more and more people afk or bot in Frontlines to the point that it's not even subtle anymore, and NOTHING IS BEING DONE.
SE, you broke all my favorite jobs, you've ruined PvP, and I haven't forgotten the 88 pages speaking out against the Feast chat restriction, both before and after it was implemented. I'm truly starting to question why I continue to pay for this disservice.
For every 1 afker, there's like 5 more that are actually trying to play PvP.
Removing exp will solve the afk problem, but it'll also out PvP right back where it was before SB.
Is that a bad thing? Removing the EXP would get people who actually want to win in there rather than people who half-ass it. I have used PVP for EXP twice since SB came out. Didn't win either time, but definitely wasn't a bad showing(1300+ points each time). Yes, there is likely bots/AFK all over the place, and I might have gotten lucky not to have them, but if putting it back to it's original form to get people who actually want to win, then why not do that?
It gets really, really bad at some points on Aether. I had this match earlier. All of these were AFK/Botting on the node for the entire match. There was a grand total of six of us actively participating. I had this happen three matches in a row before I stopped queueing.

This is why we can't have nice things.
I did Anima grind for Frontlines. I will say it was fun and a nice change of pace from PvE. Although there is the disparity between melee and ranged in Frontlines. This is entirely untrue. There was already a dedicated playerbase for 3 years that played and enjoyed it. We may not have been large in number, but we played and enjoyed it despite no XP given, we played to win, and we quite enjoyed it.

Well, MMO players generally play for rewards. That's just how it is. If you want the majority doing something you have to reward them for it even if it's boring as crap (i.e. PoTD). I do understand your viewpoint, but man, Frontlines was really a nice change of pace.![]()
Crazy idea: Actually punish people who don't participate instead of people who do. We all knew changing the XP based on win or loss wasn't going to fix this, well apparently all of us except SE and a handful of really loud complainers on the forums. Stripping rewards out of PVP rather than dealing with the actual problem just creates a lot of collateral damage while barely being noticed by the people who are actually the problem. Currently PVP is the only reasonable way to level DPS alts, other than (to my everlasting horror) Palace of the Dead, despite the fact that it stopped scaling at 59. Until SE releases a new deep dungeon, they shouldn't even think of touching the XP PVP gives.
I did the same thing for my BRD relic, but I always kept it at the forefront that I'm competing, and part of a team trying to compete to win. Though it had always been disproportionate to PvE content, PvP had its rewards. It did NOT have XP, and as a direct result, there were fewer leeches there.I did Anima grind for Frontlines. I will say it was fun and a nice change of pace from PvE. Although there is the disparity between melee and ranged in Frontlines.
