One Market Board option from FFXIV 1.0 that would make life easier in 4.0.

    Hi everyone,

I'd like to make a suggestion that has been bothering me for a while regarding the Market Board.

When selling items on the Market Board in FFXIV 1.0, players were able to set a price either per stack or per unit.

    - If selling by stack, buyers would have to buy the whole stack for the set price (same as current system).
    - If selling by unit, buyers can choose how many items they want to purchase out of the whole stack.

    Screenshot here, video here.

Unfortunately, with the current Market Board system, players can only sell by stack, which I think causes inconvenience for both buyers and sellers:

    - Sellers have to manually split their stack into smaller numbers since a stack of 99 is unlikely to sell if players generally buy 1~10 of those. As a result, not only it's a pain to split a stack of items into smaller stacks of 2 or 3, but it also takes up all the 20 slots available on the retainer.

    - Buyers are forced to buy more items than needed, or hope that a seller was brave/not lazy to split their items into smaller stacks.

While selling a stack of items could be intentional to appeal players in buying more items than needed but at a discounted price, enabling players to sell by unit would make the whole selling and buying operation much more convenient.

And just to clarify: setting a price "per unit" for a stack of 20 or 50 would only take 1 slot on a retainer. However, players would be able to select how many they want to buy off that stack, until there are no more items left for sale.
If selling stack of 20 or 50 rocks is part of the "All or nothing" strategy, that would still be possible by setting the price for the whole stack.

    What do you think?
