Possible Sam Nerf

So there is a picture going around that midare will be nerfed to 480 but getting a dot,guren nerfed to 600,and meikyo is gonna be 120 secs instead of 80. Seriously can we not I know people complain but samurai has 0 utility and from what it seems it's gonna get phased out for ninja anyone have any idea on the matter

I'd be honestly be a little sad seeing Midare getting a DoT instead of keeping the pure awesome burst. Guren's cooldown is high (120s), so it's questionable as to why it's nerfed. I'm fine with Meikyo Shisui getting a longer cd.

SAM should not get nerfed.
I actually think SAM is a design success. It's a relatively fluid job, it has some depth and isn't terribly screwed over by mechanics and finally they made a job with enough single target damage to warrant replacing a more utility based job without destroying said job.
MNK and SAM are interchangeable, and seem to yield the same raid dps- MNK has borhterhood, SAM is all raw dps, and the fact you can go NIN+BRD+RDM+SAM/MNK shows that you can take the more utility focused approach (MNK) or raw dps approach (SAM) and do equally well.

The problem is that for that design success, there was the utter failure of BLM, SMN, MCH and DRG (and the last three are like, unforgivable).
What they need to do is keep those five as they are in terms of power (they can change minor MNK nuisances that I hear a lot about though) and bring the other 4 to their level.
Use what you did right as a baseline (which includes SAM) to repair what you did wrong.

Ofc SE has no idea wtf they're doing it, so they're probably gonna ruin those 5, not fix the other 4, and then we can all be sad together xD
