To the OP: Sometimes sarcasm doesn't come through in text, especially if you don't know the person. I can see some of the people who are very adamant about banning those who used the exploit totally making a post like this.
Just in general: Banning people for the Exploit is absolutely ridiculous. You would be banning ... I don't know, probably 25% of the people who do the moogle fight on the NA side. I myself did not use the exploit but it seems that many groups did.
Seriously, banning that many people is just asking for this game to fail more then it already has. And really it's not the players fault, its the design of the battle. If they really wanted to make it so that didn't happen, they would have made it so anyone alive would have some sort of emnity so they would all eventually die.
Why do people care if they use the exploit anyway. It's not like it hurts other players (well maybe it hurts them emotionally but that's about it). It shouldn't effect your enjoyment in this game in any way, and if it does, idk, maybe you need to go outside or something cause you are taking this game way to seriously.
The Moogle Fight is Serious Business yo.
What's there to not understand? The game wasn't intended to be played like this.. There is no reraise spell. The instance kicks you out if all party members are dead. This is an obvious flaw in the game mechanics and those who are using it are exploiting. Seems pretty simple to me. Also I agree that if you ban all the poor players (People who can't beat it legitimately.) then there would be like 2-3 linkshells per server and that wouldn't be good for SE. That is why I simply suggest stripping those people of their weapons and achievements. Hell if it's not possible to single people out STRIP EVERYONE and start a new.. Doesn't bother me any because we can beat it without the cheap cheat.
COME AT ME, MOOGLE!
I think I'm looking forward to this ridiculous forum squabbling next patch more so than the content. The amount of trolling and epeen waving has reached critical levels and is just hysterical.
Removed due to size restrictions and possible seizures risks.
I haven't even logged in to do moggle since the 16th. Too busy lmao at these two threads. We've created our own content!
I can't believe the level of intelligence it takes to have people think dying and letting a monster reset is a serious exploit worthy of even being talked about.
Exists in XI.
Exists in Aion.
Exists in GuildWars.
Exists in XIV.
If people want to kill it that way; do your own thing. When there's only 120-200 people online at any time on my server and most of them are AFK or Japanese and don't want English parties, I'll take whatever the heck I can get.
I've spent 12 hours LFP while farming, asking people all hours of the day to party up for anything. I get no response.
The first party I get saying: "Let's do it this way." You better believe I'm in on it. Later, when we actually have people, I'll try it the old fashioned way. Whatever.

I've only played XI and XI had a reraise spell. Also if you played XI you know that SE doesn't like it when you exploit their glitches. XI had AV wall trick and item duping both of which got people banned. Granted it took some time for them to do it but they did it. Just because you can have sex with a drunk passed out girl doesn't mean you should.
LOL.. The old fashioned way?? You mean the way it was meant to be done.. AKA The right way.

Dying, Raising, Hate Reset.
They've been in the game since release. You could reset berserk on world nm's that way. It's not the "elitest" way; but when you have very few people playing, it might be just the only way for now.
My server is 80% Japanese.
JP Primetime: 400+.
NA Primetime: 120+
EU Primetime: 80+
Not many people on for us PST people.
