I thought Square wanted Role actions to all be optional based on the fight you're doing.I think that this is exactly what SE was going for, though. WHM and AST basically NEED to take Lucid Dreaming, else they need to rely solely on Thin Air/Assize and RNG ewer cards respectively. SE probably nerfed aetherflow MP gain so that SCH would need to take the skill as well, making it more "fair". I still think this is a skill that never should have been put into role skills and that SoS and LA should have remained as they were. That way, aetherflow could have remained unchanged too.
So if Lucid Dreaming is a requirement to not starve in content period, then it failed.
