i agree that weapons, armor, etc. need there own seperate inventory tab, however what is it that your using to differentiate between crafting and harvesting? is harvesting the basic materials while crafting is parts? and food having its own tab is a bit iffy, while all the other listed tabs easily need to be there with around 100 slots each(especially for ppl who like to craft and harvest there own stuff even if just for the sake of self repairs) food probably doesnt need anywhere near as many slots. but then if you dont give it its own tab where are you going to put it?

You do have a point there, I was just throwing ideas out there without thinking that food and other harvesting are the same or similar. For example if they could put all raw materials such as harvesting into one inventory tab. That is including fishes, carrots, etc... that are raw and not cook yet. This should take out the Food inventory tab. But if it was mining items such as ores, then its different. So here is what I come up with after your thoughts.

Gear tab-100 slot> armors, weapons, accessories, and any other equip items
Potion tab-50 slot> HP potions, MP potions, all alchemy potions, and any other potions materials
Crystal tab-50 slot> all crystals, shards, clusters and any other different types of crystals
Craft tab-50 slot> only crafted parts, such as handles, sword blades, etc...
Food-50 slot> all fishes, all vegetables, all fruits, all crops, any eatable food items
Wood-50 slot> all logs and any wood crafting items except parts such as handle
Metal-50 slot> all Blacksmith and Armor materials except parts such as sword blade
Fur-50 slot-> all tanners working materials furs, leathers, except parts such as leather shoulder
Bone-50 slot-> all bones materials such as scales, shell, etc.. except parts for crafting

Will this is 9 tabs, but this is breaking it down the categories. what do you guys think?

to many tabs and options take up space. And it can be more irritating. Play games like elder scrolls where they do shuffle stuff into tabs for sort puposes. I don't think SE needs to fix a players problem personally. More so if it taking up hdd space. This would be more of a reason not to have class spesific gear so you are not carrying around a ton of armor, just a few different weapons. Weapons should give stats for your job while armor should do a lil of everything.

Sorry but I don't think this is a good idea as it takes up a bit to much hdd space. And can be more tiresome having to go through several tabs just to sell things.

Thanks, I use a Logitech Netplay PS2 Keyboard/Controller that was designed fro FFXI on PS2. It lays flat in my keyboard tray and I work the controls from the top. Out of those front buttons I really only use L1 for autorun. I will have to give it a shot when we can get back on. Thanks!

Sticking to the thread, Drakong, Great Idea. LoL

Wait, you want 500 inventory slots ? :S are you crazy ?

I think Wood, Metal, Fur and Bone could be consolidated to one tab tbh, maybe with individual parentheses.

I do think they need to make seperate tabs like you suggest but each tab should be subtractive and divided from an overall slot count.

Say 100 total slots which can be used across all tabs.

You are right, 500 slot is a bit crazy. I did think about putting all the crafting materials in one tab like you say, but I was just trying to explain my concept. I did say 5-7 tab should be enough, 9 tab is over doing it. If crafting materials was to put all together, than it should be like this.

    Gear tab-50 slot / Craft tab-100 slot / Crystal tab-25 slot / Money tab-25 slot

This brings to 200 slot only, but you mostly use gear and craft tab the most, so that is really only 150 slot. Think of all the job other hardcore players keep their gears and since crafting is half the game economy, it should have its own tab slot of 100 slot at lest.

And about the select all item to sell to clean inventory should not be a problem if you only got 4 tabs to pick from.
