    UI (Inventory)

I know the UI system did get some updates and it plays a little better, but still needs a lot of work. I know there is a lot of important topic out there, but everyone is missing out the UI inventory window problems on scrolling to find my items. Or maybe its just me.

Does everyone notice while you are trying to do all the jobs and end up with junks of crafting, harvesting regular materials and +1 +2 +3 that filled up your inventory even though they expanded it to 100 slot? And you have to scroll all the way down and up if you are searching items even though they are sorted? I don't think this will go away even if they give us 1,000 slot of inventory.

I have a great idea for them to make this more user friendly. Just like they give a tab bar for the crystals, money, inventory, I think they should put all the "gears" such as armor and weapons into another tab bar. And also another one for the crafting materials. And one for the food, and so on with the categories that are needed. I would suggest no more than 5-7 tabs bars.

This should be a better way for us to pick witch tab we want and don't have to scroll up and down so much. And it will be more organized also. Here is an example, they should categorizes all these to 100 slot each if needed.

    Gears/Food/Crystals/Money/Crafting/Harvest

    Give me your thoughts guys...

Agreed! Gear should have its own seperate inventory space. The concept of the game seems to be that you are able to switch to any class you want on the fly but well over half your inventory is taken up by weapons, tools, subs tool, and armor for each slot for tanking, magic, dps, crafting and gathering. ive managed to get all my class to about 17 so far and me and both my retainers are maxed out and I sell anything with a "+" on it right out to save space. Maybe atleast have an accessory pouch or something that all your "slotted" ring, neck, ect. gear would go into. My draw to this game is that you can be anything at all times, but the inventory system doesnt support that.

im confused. When you select gear doesnt it do just what your asking? if im equipping a main hand weapon it shows only the main hand weapon gears that i have.

What i want is something that makes me sell all my stuff to NPC like i check 20 items and then select "yes ready to sell" then i sell 20 items at once. that way i do not have to wait for the lag/loading with each item for 100 lines....

On your first paragraph, I am sorry to confuse you. But I did not meant when you are equipping gears. What I meant on the UI Inventory only. This is only when you go to your Inventory and view all of your items.

And I agree with your last paragraph. I would like to have a selection like you said to sell items all at once.

Agreed agian! I think some of these things are made for the user to take up extra time so that people don't advance too quickly. SE has been making games long enough to know how to make such transactions quick and painless so i can't help but think making them very slow is intentional.

new tabs would surely atleast remove some of this endless scrolling.
what i've learned in the last 6 months for sure, don't store everything you find and "may" need in the future.
just farm it when you need it or find yourself cleaning your storage every week XD

No, they just went the quick and easy route for launch. They've been re-designing things as quickly as they can - ie. see crafting UI improvements for example.

When you first build a UI, it is often easiest to just display things however they look in the database. It's quick and easy and you don't have to worry about the problem of "how do I put the right, decision worthy information on this screen?" - because that requires critically thinking about the action being performed and what is a smart way to visualize that data and then build a process flow that makes sense. Instead they took the easy route and just vomited back a single database table per screen, and then have lots of buttons and further screens each attached to their own database table.

They have started to make progress on actually thinking through some of these and have made improvements in many of the patches, but there is still a ways to go.

You should try all your buttons that you set it up to see which one work during inside the inventory menu. My works with the L2 and R2 where I set it up. Its on the controller alright, if you set all of your buttons on the controller.
