Party Finder: MCH not allowed

I just did 3693 on V2 with my MCH last night. The job can clear fights no problem.

But that isnt to say that there's nothing to fix, or that it should be doing equal or less dps compared to BRD.

If you do less then 3k dps you just need to practice more.

I'm just disgusted by what happened to the MCH...
It was my main in 3.XX, enough powerfull and enough usefull to be a very good job, and he had a good complexity. To get high dps, you needed to play very well with it.
Now it's much harder, and less powerfull, less usefull - almost useless so now.
We were not a lot to play it, and now, nobody will play it.

And no allowing MCH in PF... Remember the 3.00.

Hopefully they really look into giving MCH some kind of identity soon. Atm I'm not really sure why you would bring 1 for anything other then easy duty finder content and it clearly does not compete with bard at all for the usual raid slot. Idk.. just seems like it feels bad to play it atm.

Are you telling me that your group can't handle having a weaker class? Even if it takes a little bit longer to finish a boss? Are you really that much of a scum?

No problem to have a weaker job, but not if this job is harder to play and less useful than its equivalent

Yes, it's a community problem. A competent mch will probably outdps all of the terrible dps I met in "Susano/Lakshmi farm pt high dps please".

I've been on both sides of the spectrum, and I never got passionate when people would not accept me because of my class or my ilvl, I just try to be rational about it.

I have been playing MCH for a short time now, I recently unlocked Heavenward and thus the job. I’m too stubborn to use jump potions, and I love story-mode. That being said, I truly feel as if I found my main with it. My only high level experience with it is in PotD at the moment but I have been pulling some impressive numbers versus the legions of SAMs and RDMs in the dungeons at the moment. I will be playing it regardless if it gets buffed or not.


That being said, I leveled BRD previous to it (So all I would have to do is buy and raid for guns) and I have to say that I miss the few party buffs the BRD had. And while I can out damage my BRD in short bursts, my BRD does more damage the longer the fight goes on. I would like to see either a) the turrets to become a bigger role, or b) have some of our bigger moves feel big for all the heat + cool down + ammo management I have to do. Tactical drones that don’t do damage but boost party parameters would be a cool idea for a party buff (be it a shield or more damage or whatever.)

Regardless I love and will forever love MCH even if jerks are having a good time "being jerks" at my expense. I only bring these ideas up, less because of how I am treated, and more because I like the job and want to see it improve a bit more.
