How far behind is Mch even supposed to be? We looked at the difference in numbers as soon as we could, yet now when I look at both primal fights mch and brd has evened out just about in damage. What am I missing?

The dps check wasn't even that tight in a mix of 290 and 300 gear. If people can't do it at this point then it doesn't matter what job they bring.

It was just a matter of time, at least now its a good reason (if anyone thought it wouldn't be necessary) to buff MCH.
I do remember a few days ago peoples here saying that something like this would never happen (lol) but any weakER job is prone to that, it happens to DRKs (which I showed pictures in another post) so why wouldn't it happen to MCH when there are so many DPSers to chose from?

I have like 5 screenshots of no BLM parties too.
I tried reasoning with the leader (and even had to upload some 99% Lak EX parses I got on the PF) and they still wouldn't relent.
I mean, my own fault for bringing some BLM issues to light.

My MCH friend is now playing BRD and my SMN friend is now playing RDM.
My heart goes out to you (even I'm a filthy meta slave and went RDM qq).

So, on Balmung I was look at ex trials. Every single party has Bard only.
When I asked if MCH could take place of BRD, 5 parties said no.

So it begins.

on Zodiark SCHs/SMNs/MCHs are starting to get locked out on "high dps" farm grps as well... casterspots are pre-reserved for at least 1-2 RDMs... per grp .____.

Your point is because some uppity pug leaders were being picky (with good enough reason, if I only had one ranged spot left in my party BRD is a no-brainer, it was last patch too) and wanted what they felt was their ideal comp; MCH is unwanted as a whole. You are not pushing world first (I'd think), you weren't joining speed-kill groups (if you were, you're not the only job that can't get into them), even just going through my PF now - multiple groups either have a MCH or aren't specifying which RDPS they'd prefer. I'm not denying MCH is weak, I just feel you are exaggerating your issues. In case you're going to be at the end of this and think "yeah well you're an AST, you don't know what it's like to be underpowered right now in an unforgiving pugworld" - my other 70 healer is a Scholar, which everyone claims is weak yet I've never been refused entry to a party for it (unless they already have a SCH, in which case, I wouldn't apply in the first place).


tldr - pug leaders can set what limits they require, if they want bis from each role type; someone will always be excluded from that. If you start your own group, this becomes less of a problem for you.

That's fine. Run and cleared everything so far as a MCH, so I'm content to sit back and watch the clown fiesta play out in the PF.
