    PvP ranks and rewards

PvP is rewarding on its own if you enjoy it, and sometimes people who try PvP for a reward find they enjoy it yet otherwise wouldn't have tried it. With the changes over the past year, and especially with 4.0, there is no improving stats or gear as you level up in PvP, which along with other changes for a more level playing field and XP rewards have increased the number of people in PvP. The mount prizes have also helped.

That said, do you want to see something for earning certain PvP ranks (not feast standings but the 1-50 ranks or levels for PvP)? Other than the old gear-grind or pvp-stat boosts? What would, to your way of thinking, make PvP more fun and reward those who like to strive for some benefit? Try to think as broadly as possible, even if a feature doesn't exist yet.

I will try to start but these are just to get the ball rolling, they aren't the point of my post. I'd like to see what *you* want as leveling/ranking rewards:
    • Unique gear for glamours beyond the current selection, with some PvP-rank locked and sold for Wolf Marks.
    • Glamours for some ability effects. These could be something you can only use in PvP or even better throughout the game. Again, locked behind certain PvP-ranks. Could be auto-unlocked upon reaching the requisite rank or sold for Wolf Marks.
    • Fun titles that are PvP-rank locked.
    • The ability to buy useful crafting items/supplies with Wolf Marks based on your PvP-rank.

Note that these rewards do not give you an edge over other players in PvP but give you access to things based on PvPing. The level playing field remains. Plus more to spend Wolf Marks on.

OK, so, what would you want to earn/get access to for leveling/ranking up in PvP?

It should just be like beast-tribes, certain ranks (every 10) unlock extra store items. Glamours, mounts, minions. Maybe have the R50 stuff cost a fair bit - say....a mount cost 10 tokens, each token costs 10k. It's not huge, but a carrot none the less.

Spending marks on accessories to trade for seals -> mats -> gil is not motivating enough for me to want to play unranked at R50. Now if I could get some pretty things for my SCH/AST jobs outside of PvP, then I'd be more inclined to play.

I'd prefer if SE could rework the pvp actions and traits the same way they did for role action in pve, where all skills are valuable depending on gameplay and role, then adapt pvp rank to this. It is still allow balancing that way, with rewarding those that have worked for this. For example: you can use +1 skill available every 10 lvl or 1 skilll at 10, 1 trait at 20 etc... I'm not against special emotes/glam/titles/etc... but I'd like to see something that add more depth to current gameplay, which really need it.

Overflowing with wolf marks myself after buying everything needed for the Garo stuff I find myself wishing I could buy Aetheryte Tickets and/or Grade V/VI materia (after all, materia is supposed to be more plentiful going forward). Another thing that could be thrown in is ventures as more options to keep stocked up on those is always welcome.

Seriously, there needs to be some sort of consumables you can buy with wolf marks.

But, yeah, glamour/mounts/minions can be good carrots, but they're a one-off deal that once you have them, they don't pull you in anymore.

Gear used be behind certain rank but majority didn't like it so it got removed, same with AP as it gave a edge to those who grinded the ranks so i am not sure what they could add to it without triggering playerbase. Also there is already rank related titles so that's not new and you can get crafting materials by desynthing pvp gear or trading them for GC seals.

Yes please. Like Pence said. The rank requirements were removed because the gear was part of the gameplay before, but now it's just for show so why not gate some extra-fancy versions just for novelty/vanity/collectability? I have been maximum rank since forever and it does feel more satisfying when your numbers are always going up and/or mean something, even if it doesn't affect gameplay.

And as great as going to the Den, buying a bunch of individual items and individually desynthing them all to sell on the profits is, a less convoluted way of making use of the swamp of excess Marks I keep accumulating would be very nice. Cash, materia (we still have a 'materia' vendor, laughably!) or tokens for super-expensive trinkets would all be nice.
