    Ninja utility?

I'm currently levelling Ninja as my main, a lot of people talk about the utility that Ninja brings to a party. Can someone give a bit of an explanation of what the utility is? What should I be looking out for in a party situation and how can I do more than just focusing on my own dps?

Goad. (Now a role skill) can be used on any party member with low tp. Typically paladins were a prime candidate in longer fights.

Shadewalker throws 80% of your enmity to the target. Great for giving tanks a head start also allows then to open with /swap to dps stance sooner.. (don't worry not being number 2 on the aggro doesn't mean your dps sucks.)

Smokescreen lowers emnity best used on a fps that's crawling up close to a tanks aggro.

Trick attack. Increases all damage by 10% for the entire group.

    Jugulate. Silence effect. Occasionally useful.

Shadowfangs slashing debug increases damage by 10% shared with war n Sam.

Hyoton binds which can be good in PvP I'm told. Pretty useless anywhere else.

I forgot that ninjutsu existed til I stepped foot into PvP. XD

But yea, pretty much everything Dzian said. Goad is nice for those really big pulls and/or long fights. (Also a good way to get a commendation now and again lol) Trick Attack is great for those phases in fights where you and your party need that extra bit of burst. DPS checks, etc. Jugulate is something you can weave between your gcd skills normally, but if you know you're in a fight where you need to time that silence, save it for that.

Trick Attack is what makes Ninja the ultimate needed dps class.

Thanks everyone, I figured Trick Attack was a big part of it, that helps to understand the usage of the other skills that i honestly have on my bar but rarely use at this stage

Dominantly, Trick Attack is bread and butter for Raid. Other notables are the slashing debuff from Shadow Fang and Goad.
