One drive has files from FF14

So I originally had one drive active, because I didn't care to disable it. However, I want to disable it because it's syncing all my files. I know I can go in and click which folders to sync or whatever. but I never really use it. So I just want to disable it. But when I did FF14 wouldn't open correctly. So before I try anything stupid, I was wondering if I can just drag those files out of one drive and place it in the FF14 folder in my SSD or?

May seem like a dumb question but I did it with another game in steam and now it won't open at all had to uninstall the game disable one drive and reinstall so it wouldn't place any files in there. So I would like to get ff14 running without Onedrive so I can just turn that annoying thing off. thanks in advance!

It shouldn't. Unless you've moved your documents folder to inside the one drive.

By default on a standard installation all you're ffxiv settings should be c:\users\(your name)\ducuments\My games\Final Fantasy XIV

Shouldn't be anywhere near your one drive unless your personal folders are confugured to be there c:\users\(yourname)\one drive\documents.

Might be worth going to windows settings> storage> save locations and see where it says your documents are saved to. If it's inside your one drive change it. and move the folders to wherever you want them.

might need to reinstall 14 as it'll probably still try to find your one drive folder as that's where it was set to when installed. other option would be search for ffxiv in regedit and manually edit the folders to where you want them.

Thanks for the reply. I will just let ff14 access one drive, i guess it's no big deal. Just a little annoying. Guess that's what I get for not checking settings before installing. It has 3 other games as well -_-. I'm just gonna leave those 3 alone and make sure I change the settings for the rest. Thanks again!
