Shorten jump range prevent getting to Sightseeing log #009

Frequency: Been trying to jump for over 2 hours
World name: Cactuar
Character name: Snow Dreams
Class/Level: Brd/Drg/WHM
Party or solo: around 6 people tried to jump with me
In-game time: any
Area and coordinates: Leatherworker guild, the Sightseeing log spot #009
Steps:
1. Got on top on cabinet, Popped sprint and jump (have done this for over 2 hours)
2. Tried different angles
3. Used bard skill and sprint to increase speed, still no use

Details:
I am not sure if SE recent change to sprint affected this. But from youtube videos, clearly their jumps were slightly further. I have tried this for 2 hours and 0 luck. I know you can edge forward to the point where it looks like you are standing in mid air. I even had friends, FC members, and another person trying for this sightseeing log for around 1 hour, none of us could get on top. I have tried to jump with few class, BRD, WHM,SCH,DRG. I don't think this changed anything, but the jump was short.

Edit: I know the jump is suppose to be hard, but 2hours from myself and 1 hour from 6-7 other people just don't add up. The Kugane tower isn't as bad as this old vista point :/
