    I personally feel this is a good compromise.

    This takes the least amount of effort from Square-Enix from either reworking tanks, reworking a lot of accessories, etc.

    This also makes maintaining enmity easier (it's a joke already but some players do struggle)
    I feel this is also a nice compromise for the offensive/defensive tank mindsets.
    This also helps with scaling of HP and STR, to cater to the needs of a tank.

    I also feel this can breath a little life into vitality materia.

    I also feel this would allow for a even slightly more (albeit small) player customization.
