    PvP needs more organisation functions

I think, that one of the biggest problems of the current PvP is the lack of the functions and instruments of organisation. That is why I want to suggest some ideas to make PvP much more better

    1) Leader function. Im sure, that each alliance must have a LEADER, which will be able to give orders via SPECIAL LEADER CHAT CHANEL. Also the Leader must have a function of transferring the Leadership to another player, if he doesnt want to be a leader and someone wants

    2) Leader must be able to reorganize the parties to make them more balance (if one party has too many healers and another hast any healer). Based on the balance parties leader will be able to give orders to each party (Party A- protect the base, Party B- crystal)

    3) Flag function (point on the map) must be reworked and become more simple. Flag on the map- it is very complicated action to do and, most of all, it doesnt attract the attention of a player, because if you dont see the link in the chat, you will not know about someones order. That is why flag function must be reworked in simple DZING- DZING on the map. All you need to do- is move the cursor over the map and push a special button and all the players in the your alliance will SEE and HEAR a special DZING- DZING on the map. Such function can be used only by a leader, for example, to prevent the abuse

Hmm, nope. Definitely not this. Sry but all your points are flawed.

    1) Aliiance chat IS only visible by the same alliance.

    2) Leaving the power to one random guy? Nope, thx. Already a huge part of players have no strategy knowledge of Frontline, if the only thing he can do with this is shouting Crystal at <flag>, it's pointless.

    3) Or players just switch jobs. What about people that are in premades then? Not really fun just be dragged out of your friends group. Better add an incentive to players to switch to healers. Ex: alliance A need 2 healers, bonus for the next 2 players that switch (that's flawed too, but it is still better). And also: trolls exist.

    4) What ANYONE in Frontline need to do is to play with map open. I don't need a troll that have fun toying with my map ty. this how you play frontline: keep your map open, and read chat. N

THISTHISTHIS! Map should be forced in pvp preferably a full screen so nobody can say "i didn't know where to go". This is also directly linked with that leader issue because map and commonsense is only leader you need, map alone will tell you enemy movements in the field and it also allows you to predict next spawns so you can pre-camp incoming objective depending on the mode. There is simply no reason to not keep map open 24/7 in pvp so please use it and use it a lot.

PS: "alliance will SEE and HEAR a special DZING- DZING on the map" I might see it but i wont hear it as i always use custom playlist while doing pvp \m/

lol? Alliance chat is restricted to your only alliance, so faction, enemies can't see it.

Indeed. A friend of mine asked me to post this thread. I have not played pvp since 3.4 or so. I thought there were some new 4.0 changes with alliance chat

OP caught some flak but I get the gist of what he's trying to say - make communication quicker and easier like it is in say, MOBAs. In Heroes of the Storm I just alt-click a thing on the map and the game automatically pops up a message like "[Lorelei's hero] wants to [do the objective]" (obviously not that generic, it'd be stuff like "Tyrande wants to capture shrine" or whatever the objective on the map we're doing is). So imagine being able to alt-click ice on the map and have it say, "Lorelei Diangelo wants the group to go attack ice" with a little blinker showing up on the map to show what ice I'm talking about.

Obviously, stuff like this doesn't EXACTLY translate over well to MMO PVP, and in Heroes of the Storm at least you can't turn off the map, whereas in XIV you can, so pinging stuff on the map won't do a bit of good if morons don't have it open or have sounds disabled or whatever anyway. But I actually totally agree with him that the flagging system is fairly clunky and doesn't allow you to quickly communicate shotcalls to your alliance.

His idea for #1 actually seems to be based off of TERA PVP, where in their battlegrounds an alliance was arbitrarily assigned a leader at the start, who would get access to the raid leader channel which would pop up any text that the leader was typing onto the middle of the screen so it couldn't be ignored (the text wasn't huge, so it wasn't super obnoxious or anything like that, but it wasn't smushed down into a chat box where people might not see it). The only problem is when you'd get these leaders who wouldn't stop wasting RL channel on dumb jokes or salt, as if I recall there wasn't a limit on how many messages you could send. I'm not really sold on this idea personally for XIV PVP, as I think chat itself is fairly easy to use and you can add <se>s to grab the attention of tunnelers.

The flagging system for quickly highlighting locations and objectives absolutely could be made a little less attention-intensive, though. Having to ctrl-click to make the flag, then hit enter to type it in the box with no context about what you want people to do in regards to that flag...yeah. In Slaughter at least the map was so small that I could literally macro my shotcalls into three buttons and push whichever one was appropriate, but both Seize and Shatter are so huge with multiple objectives occurring at once that you pretty much need to use flags in order to make your intentions known.

You can communicate quickly and effectively using the macro system already in game.

Can you even imagine the amount of chaos if one randomly-chosen person had to organise a bunch of people playing with friends or their own ideas of how to build teams over the course of a few seconds at the start of a match? I'm on a Japanese server so things are relatively orderly already and even here it would be absolute bedlam. It worked (somewhat) in WoW because people couldn't change jobs instantly and without warning to increase the confusion a thousandfold.

I'd like to see the ability to select someone and swap parties with them (like Trade) and also the ability to interact with alliance members without a mouse or the patience of a saint by increasing controller options in the alliance interface. The rest is mostly down to the players.

Why should there be chaos if someone is leading so everyone is following him? Why randomly? In other mmos, you can propose yourself to be the leader just by select the option in the window. So what he's saying is already been made and is working. Some knows how pvp works and mechanics and lead others, some ppl just see that there's frontline and jump in and don't have a clue of what to do so have a leader is a good thing.
