I never was so annoyed by this system until today.Years of MMO i never even quit WOW before dungeon-finder was a thing back there.We used to sit in front of dundgeon entrances doing duels or getting attacked by alliance for dungeon entrances.Now here ingame i finally got irritated by the system.Never had in any game a dudgeon finder i played past few years.Spent waiting literally in front of dungeon for main quest 2 hours no people.I went away only to miss the pop up.Got back had to wait 28 minutes to quene again.After again 2-3 hours of staring in screen and watching videos i almost fell sleep bored of waiting.Missed again the quene now again 28 penalty,JESUS at least if i already have to deal with low player population on lower level.While i level up.Can you at least remove the penalty now i have again to wait half a hour to quene again to again stare 2-3 hours in screen in hope to get somebody to complete main story quest.......

Don't worry you would only queue one more time. If you miss that one, you will have to wait till the daily reset (8 am pst) before you can access the duty finder again, that's the actual real penalty for missing it 3 times (total). The issue also is not low population, it's the issue of you playing a dps class, since these always wait quite a while. However now with the release of stormblood, and the additional 2 new dps classes, the wait timer is even longer. Roll a tank or healer if you want instant queue's. Also you do have the option to open the party finder and create a party, a lot of veterans love running older or MSQ dungeons, especially with first timer bonus, unless it's the very boring low level dungeons (1-47). If you don't want to use that, well I would suggest paying more attention to your screen.

You're on Ragnarok - a EU server. Go into your DF, hit the little gear icon in top left, go to languages and select all of them. This is a common issue on Tonberry also with the new English players getting 2-3 hours queues for content which is run regularly due to not including the JP language players.

You don't have to wait in front of the dungeon at all. You don't even need to queue up at the entrance. You can start up the DF and go do something else while you wait.

But also that other thing. If you're on EU, probably best to have EU languages ticked.

do this. Pick other things to do while you wait for a pop. You can switch jobs and do almost anything. personally I run fates and do hunts on jobs I'm leveling. Beast tribe quests too.

If you want to get people faster, you can look for people. In this game, you can use PF or just asking people in your FC (which is probably the best way to go).
You can also do other things while you're queued up in a roulette. You can even be in another class/job as long as you change back into the original one when the Commence menu appears.

Lastly, if you want to do MSQ really bad, there is always the option to side-roll a tank or healer, who get queues of just a few seconds/minutes. I do most of my stuff as a DPS, but I do all my DF stuff as healer, works out real nicely. Not enough people queue up for DF as Tank/Healer, and way too many DPS do, that's why it takes so long.
