    MNK Deep Meditation Fix

    I like the trait Deep Meditation, but I agree that the proc rate (albeit with limited gear for myself) seems to be slightly less frequent to where it should be. It really doesn't need a huge overhaul like messing with the percentages/auto-attack-procs but more access to critical hits.

    I pose that Steel Peak should be turned into an oGCD weaponskill like Empyreal Arrow that has a 100% chance to critically hit. I'm sure most wouldn't mind if it had a lower potency to ensure we have another type of bootshine ability. (The créme de la créme would be to make it a ranged skill).

    Do you think this would be enough to help abate some of the RNG of the trait?

    Except Empyreal Arrow doesn't have a 100% crit rate. Only Bard skill to have that is Straight Shot if we have the Straighter Shot proc and we're using that for other things 9/10. What the skill actually does is simply give us one of our stacks (or resets Bloodletter if we're in Mage's) and is on a 15s CD.

    I do get the Monk plight of wanting more Chakra, played enough that I bothered to get the 3.X relic for MNK. Not having a lv70 MNK though, I can't say how bad the rate is for getting chakra but from what I've read here on the forums, you have people with luck on either side of the spectrum, which is the whole problem, luck.

    I'd argue give it a 30% on Direct Hits and 50% on Criticals, stacking.

    "Like Emyreal Arrow" in the sense that it's an oGCD weaponskill - I'm aware it doesn't have a 100% critical hit chance as I play the class, my idea to curb some of the 'luck' is to give them another guaranteed critical hit ability in their rotation by reworking Steel Peak. As it stands it's just an extra ability every 40 seconds with zero text/flavor, abilities should help with the rotation rather than be click-and-forget.

    Could be a good idea, I always thought Brotherhood should have given the effect of Battle Voice by bringing the Direct Hit to a party/itself instead of "5% damage to weaponskill skills" to round off what the melee classes bring. NIN brings vulnerability, DRG brings crit chance, MNK brings Direct Hit, SAM brings huge damage.
