    Jobs/Classes Ideas

    Well we all know that everyone is wanting new jobs/classes but I just don't see some coming very quickly.

    The problem is that some jobs will just be the same as another or just too difficult to pull off. Such as Blue mage (which I would love to see), but the blue mage learns from monsters and uses their abilities so how would that work.... Ideas?

    Next is the problem with wait times. DPS has the longest for anything and tank and healers can get in quickly due to demand. Well how about a system that gives extra XP for the que time. Such as after 5 mins you get 3% and then at 10 mins you get 5% and so on to help balance out the wait time.

    So we move on to something I want to talk about and that is moving the jobs/classes up to the next level. By that I mean that we do job quest and move to the next tier of the class. In this next tier you get stronger and new items for that job.

    Such as the Gladiator moved to the Paladin then moves to Heavenly Knight.(FFT) This makes the job more powerful and give the player something to go towards in the future but can only get this at the end of level cap in said expansion.

    So what do you think about it? Should they do this and make it where we have to try harder at the higher levels to fight for Eorzea. I think so and they could do some good with it.

    There are some Ideas. What are your thoughts?

    Now to finish I would like to say I am mainly a tank (Pal) I think the tanks need a big aggro boost so they can tank better even in a dps stance and the dps stance need a boost so they can at least stand close to the dps in terms of damage and not always fall behind. Not say they need to do as much damage but higher then they are now would be nice. Also I think the Warrior should have a sword and the dark knight should have the ax imo

    Next the healer need to be able to keep there MP up better in prolonged fight and have stronger healing if the enemies are just going to keep getting stronger. Such as a ability to instantly get full life and MP when revived so this ability can only be used when in a weaken state with a long CD so that the healer tries not to get killed again.

    All of the DPS should be able to put out about the same amount of damage just in different ways such as the Dragoon, Monk and Sam should have high single dps with the Ninja be able to do the same just not quite as much making it have good support abilities. Machinist and Bards should have good support but be able to do high dps as well just not as high as the Drg, Monk and Sam. Rdm, Blm and Sum should have great aoe damage output but again they should have a balance between all classes making it were one class is not so much more powerful then the other. They could make it where the Rdm is a single target magic attacker with some aoe and the blm is all about aoe with some single target attack spells.

    Again thoughts on all of this?

    You can bypass the character limit by editing your post.

    What would be the purpose of giving jobs a second tier? (which would be the third, counting classes). It sounds overly complicated - people ATM somehow struggle with Classes to Jobs. It would also somewhat remove iconic FF job names....not something that falls inline with Yoshis vision of XIV.

    Actually the second tier or third counting classes brings up some old FF classes that are very iconic if you have played a lot of FF such as

    Paladin>Heavenly Knight (FFT Ramza Father was the class and I know I wanted to see what it could do)
    Warrior>Knight (FF 1 the warrior of light becomes a knight)
    Dark K>Black Guard (odd ball but I was thinking about something to do with odin because he is a Dark Knight who trained Cecil from FF 4 to be a Dark Knight)

    White M>White Wizard (FF 1)
    Scholar>Sage (FF 3)
    Astrologist>??

    Dragoon>Holy Dragoon (FF 4 Kain ref)
    Black M>Black Wizard (FF 1)
    Summoner>High Summoner (FFX Yuna and her father)
    Bard>??
    Samurai>Sword Saint (FFT Cid was a sword saint and the most OP fighter in the game)
    Monk>Master Monk (FF1)
    Machinist>Engineer (FF 4 Cid was job classed as a Engineer)
    Red M>Red Wizard (FF 1)
    Ninja>Kage (an odd ball)

    But this is still only an idea.

    I agree with Pence, this is unnecessarily complicating things for complication's sake. Classes upgrading to Jobs is something that SE kind of considers obsolete anyway (classes were an old relic of the original version of FFXIV which Yoshi changed to upgrade to Jobs, which was carried into ARR, and it's a 1.0 Legacy he's trying to away from, the 'extra Jobs' which have no base class being introduced in HW and now here in SB as well are an example of this), so a 'third' upgrade will not add anything to the game other than making things even more complicated I'm afraid.

    This was Yoshi's reasoning behind not only not having those upgraded jobs, but also why he wants to ultimately remove the base classes, as they are just another relic of the past. Keeps things simple.

    The most they could do is turn those some of those advanced job names into titles.

    Well I don't mean to make it more complicated but a fun way to move towards end game. the main point is like the soul crystal will evolve and change to the class the only difference really would be like a few items (glamour) that is for that class so you have to work for it not just buy at a high price and not level 1 but a class requirement and a small boost and that would be it not something to make it so hard. But what I find funny is that Yoshi changed the battle system to an easy stream line with 4.0 and everyone complained because they wanted to stay complicated for end game yet at the same time people want it to be easier so I just though out an idea I had for something easy and fun not hard and complicated.
