Other family members can not create accounts

Hello,

My wife and I returned to the game this week past, and 2 of our adult children are wanting to play, but are constantly getting;

You cannot use this function.
Please contact the SQUARE ENIX Support Centre for additional details.
Error Code: i2501

This happens right after putting in the 8 digit code.

My network is fine (I am an network engineer, so quite sure its not my end), all ports are open for the game. I can log into my and my wife's account on their pc's and log into the game from their pc but we are not able to create accounts for them, even from my wife's or my PC (Get above error - which seems to be a violation code, odd since we have not even finailized account creation).

Wife and I bought the complete game again and created new accounts a week prior to my kids having this issue and when we created our account it was fast and simple, now the system is falling over on something so simple?

My 2 adult kids have bought the game and currently unable to use it due to above issue, any help will be appreciated.

Error i2501
Suspicious activity has likely occurred on your account (different ISP, strange computers, strange browsers etc). You need to contact Square Enix support (recommended to use the phone option through the Mog Station) to get this sorted. You maybe required to to send scanned copy of documents to prove your identity which can take a while to process.
To prevent this from happening again in future, use Square Enix's one time password system.

Hello Pence and thanks for replying,

Issue is a weird one, cause their accounts are not officially created as this error happens on entering the 8 digit code to finalise account creation. And once the error code comes up, they can not retry as it says email is used by a Square account, but can not even log in to proceed with their account. They have sent in tickets to Square as they working (damn real life getting in the way hehe) currently, but its sad to pay 60 bucks for a game, to be hampered by a rather bad account creation system in which stops them from using the product they bought.

Hopefully they will get some insight from their support ticket once they get home or in a day or two. As they both considering returning the product (Game store has offered that as its not the first time this has happened from this game stores clients the salesperson mentioned, seems a common error which Square should be rectifying asap). Which would be a shame as the game is great now and would like to have more of my family playing with my wife and I.

I'll keep my fingers crossed my lads get this sorted with Square asap.
