Tanks cannot roll need for multiclass items

Frequency: Every time after Stormblood
Class/Level: All tanks (GLA/PLD/MRD/WAR/DRK)

Some items are available for tanks and LNC/DRG. Tanks cannot roll Need on those items in dungeons, the game says "That item is not suited to your current class or job."

This is obviously false, since I am playing a tank and the item allows me to equip it if I obtain it though a Greed roll

Are we talking about the level 30ish scale stuff? Tanks can wear them but they have stats designed for lancer/dragoon, this has been a thing since 2.0.

Actually with that gear, it's just the opposite. LNC/DRG can't roll Need on that stuff, while tanks are able to (despite the gear being inferior to tank-exclusive equivalents).

Yeah its gone both ways at random points.

Sometimes DRGs cant need it, despite it being way better, and sometimes tanks cant, even if its better than the prior dungeons gear (but maybe not this current dungeons tank only gear)
Sometimes both can hit need.
