How many people have multiple houses?

As someone who wants to eventually own a house, this makes me sad.
I don't understand why there isn't a limit on the amount of properties you can own.
It is very discouraging to new players if people who are sitting on large amounts of gil can just buy up every house that becomes available.

*edit: Just wanted to add that there is a limit but it's per a character not per account. Thanks for clearing that up.

A game that forces a sub fee that doesnt give enough space for all players to own a home is absolutely despicable. I am all for sub fees, btw. That isnt the issue

As someone who came to Mateus before it was the in thing to do, I got myself a house and my alts houses as well. I am a RPer and use my houses, I redecorate them often. People can cry about not having a house on Mateus, but up until a few weeks ago it had many wards open. I bought ALL of my houses at the lowest price and had time for them to go back to the system so I could buy a new one.

Will I be giving up my houses? No I will not. I worked hard for them and I will keep them. If SE changes the rules and so I can give my alts access to a house of another one of my characters then sure I will go down to my favorite house.

I am sorry people are without housing. I was on a few servers that didnt have housing, which is why I went to a small server with LOTS of open houses because housing was important to me, I paid for my transfer not a free one. Those people did nothing wrong, I can see why they are upset. I have had someone already approach my character wanting to buy her plot and got mad when I said no, they didn't even know I had others.

SE should have more housing, it should have wards added as needed maybe with every large content patch. If it went to one private and one fc per server that would be great also. Do not condemn people who were on a server long before you, and get butthurt over them having something you do not.

It was no secret Mateus had housing, this forum is where I learned of it and looked myself. Before the FREE transfers and Mateus being a prefered realm, it had lots of houses. What stopped you from transferring? The gil cap? The $18? Well guess what, I paid my $18 and did what a lot of people did before and bought high priced things to take with me and sell. I made enough to be able to get my favorite plots in the game and two special house skins. All are fully decorated and loved.

One medium house and one apt here. Housing should be limited to 1 private house per server until they upgrade hamsters *rolls eyes*. Then, perhaps one per housing area only. Having a so called, "social neighborhood", which is non-existent anyway, is not worth denying housing to 90+% of the players.

House hording and fully decorating them all is like real life hording, causal effect: mental illness.

One *personal* house per account, per server, with alt characters on the server having access. Free Company Masters need a specific exception to allow them to own one FC house and one *Personal* house - per account, per server..

I don't understand what you mean? There is nothing wrong with owning multiple houses is there? I mean SE lets people flip houses for 100s of millions of gil. That's a huge incentive to buy up land and resell. Fastest way to get rich in the game.

Paying more then the original plot price plus the building permit, unless they just give it too you. I can't understand why anyone would waste money like that. FC maybe, but a player...

Only way to get a house on servers like balmung. People sometimes want 50mil+ just to abandon a small.
