Skill Speed melds viable?

Saw a tank the other day sporting skill speed melds. I thought it odd but gave benefit of the doubt.

Is it viable though?

I had a bunch of SkS melds and gear to play around with on DRK in the first couple weeks of SB. It was mostly just to fart around and see if it worked (my thinking was, DRK is really no longer reliant on cooldowns the way WAR/PLD are, their main cooldown multiplies the effect of SkS, and all their resource generation is on the GCD).

It was pretty fun getting down to a 2.05s GCD with Blood Weapon up, but ultimately I think it still lagged behind a setup with more traditional damage melds.

I meld skill speed and tenacity. There's too much back and forth on whats good so I said screw you all I'm melding what I want to. Now here we are all content cleared.
