I just forget to be honest. Because I play caster or tank more than any other job, I rarely get the chance to use it.

Cause I main BLM and was yelled at one too many times using it during early ARR. Although I will use LB3 on things that don't matter, like Ifrit hard mode in trial roulette.

I love it when BLM's use it on trial fights. I'm sat there main tanking and I'm like "Melee DPS you're asleep, the casters are doing your job for you". And then the melee DPS get no commendations

The baddies complain, and they never will use it anyway. The fact it's being used on a big trash mob can be beneficial to lessen tank/heal burden.

4.0 Dungeons are quite easy to have 1 LB per boss most of the time at level 70 now.

When I play SAM during the level 70 dungeons I can Lb1 during 1st or/and 2nd boss for each level 70 dungeon and always still build up a LB2 at the Final Dungeon boss once they hit their 10% HP mark then use the LB2.

Oh I've been playing the game long enough by now to not care and use lb on trash. But for a long time I was reluctant to use it without being asked, cause people kept yelling at me for using it "too early".

Saving LB is a waste.

Using it as soon as it is up means that you will have multiple LB1 to use instead of only one LB2.
If you calculate the total damage on the whole run, multiple LB1 > single LB2.

Also, using LB1 doesn't mean that you won't get LB2.

Be it dungeon boss or trash mobs. You are not wasting LB1 when you use it. If things are taking extra damage and die faster it results in a faster run

I hate using LB on the first boss. Cause everytime someone does I never have 2 bars at the end on the last boss where it counts. So Yes I save it until the last boss.. and around 10% cause it's kills instantly at the percent. But it only works if I have TWO bars.

Why save it for the killing blow? Why not hit it as soon as you have those two bars to make the kill just a bit faster?

This is me, tanking, during the last 15% of the last boss, wondering when the DPS will wake up and use the fully charged tier 2 LB;



and at 10%;



and at 5%;



LB used at 1%.....

Why save it for the killing blow? Why not hit it as soon as you have those two bars to make the kill just a bit faster?

Honestly, to this day I can only assume the lack of using LB2 during 15% HP make on final boss of a Dungeon is because they want to be "Fancy" and finish off the boss using the Lb during the last 1% to 2% HP because of "cool finisher" factors.

Yeah, i had some instances where i used it as range/caster, and i'd get some snarky player that said it was wasted on trash. Usually someone who was bad.

It's like some people have that LB bar out-of-sight or something, only notice it when it's too late, or never. Plus there are a lot of people who don't know how it builds up, and saving it is a waste.

Sorry, I'm guilty of not using it because I don't know when I am supposed to use it. Do I use it against a boss? Do I use it for certain mobs or whatever? And while I'm pondering this, the dungeon is over already and I go, oh, I guess we didn't need it x_x
