the improvement to lag has been EXTREME and it is better almost every patch, id say this has been one of the things we can clearly see they have worked on ^^I mean, realistically if you played back when the game was released, and you played again now. There are only a few changes that really made a difference. More Items, smoother interface, and EXP/SP Generation. In the time that they had to make updates and changes to the game, i feel like they really aren't thinking things through. They mentioned Companies near the day of release, and haven't implicated any hint of it. They talk about how they are working to make the game better, but in reality, there has been soo little improvement.
^ yes, but fixing the lag isn't going to make the reviewers plaster a bunch of "FFXIV best game all time" on their websites. That's what this game needs, and it's what we want! I don't know about you, but I don't want to play in a low population MMO.
I don't believe it's a matter of time as it doesn't matter how many features SE tries to add or improve, because it's the combat system that is flawed. Reading Letter V they seem to understand this very well, and the changes they have done to this point haven't addressed the real issues with the game. I think once we have defined roles, we will actually feel a part of the world and the community.
I actually enjoy the closer communities that seem to come out of smaller games. I played WoW for months and got a couple of classes to 80 and still didn't really feel like I was a part of anything. WoW is pretty much the tyrant of the MMO market right now. XI was my first MMO, and my personal favorite thus far, it set my precedence for what an MMO "should be." I'm not expecting an overhaul which will magically transform XIV into XI-2, but realistically speaking, we should probably expect that the games a company makes, especially one that is the same franchise will, realistically speaking, be similar. I don't ever see XIV being the game that everyone else likes nor do I want it to be.
well tbh it is a good thing that SE will keep fixing this game until it becomes playable ... because seriously with these graphics and these good music ... anything can be fixed ... it just needs a clear mind... hell sometimes I wish I work for SE when they released FFX-2 FF12 FF13 and FFXIV ... just to scream in the office "CANT YOU SEE THE MISTAKES???"
@ Mr. Rofl
You are the first person in the history of my mmo gaming that I have blocked. Congratulations!
Up until now, I have always felt every voice should be heard, no matter how I disagreed. But there has not been a single post that you have made that shows that you have any actual concern about FFXIV's future whatsoever. Again I would ask, why do you hate FF so much? But the real answer is, you just want to stir trouble and get attention. But keep making the posts! The more and more you make, the less credibility you have.
Good day to you!![]()
the only thing that will save it is 2 simple conditions: Fix all current issues with mechanics, ui, etc. Add a massive amount of new content - at least expansion pack size, and make it free. People will come back to review expansion, and maybe it wont be so unjoyable then and they can go with the "FFXIV has risen from the dead!"
Yeah it would take much longer than that to explore the whole world. I have 2 r50 jobs and there are still places that I have a really hard time accessing, not alone exploring every corner of, because of aggro mobs. Also there's still nodes out there that I haven't visited. I don't understand people who say the world is so small and there's nothing to do. Every time I log in I have a list of things I want to do in my head and not enough time to do them all. Anyway I guess it's all about what you're looking for in a game. I love that when there's no group activities going on, there's a TON of things you can be doing solo to build your character in other ways. My prediction is all these ppl wasting time trolling forums and complaining about things the game doesn't have, will be the same people complaining that their characters aren't "up to par" to partake in some of the new content when it is released.
I think 2hrs is a bit silly, takes 2hrs just to run limsa > grid.Yeah it would take much longer than that to explore the whole world.
