Has something changed about Duskborne Aethersand?

Because you need the duskborne sands still to craft items from Heavensward?

For those that haven't been getting the sands, have you been limited your rotation so that it doesn't reach 5/8 anomaly rating? For when Dawnborne sand starts appearing. Limiting the table of possible drops can help immensely.

Some people might have already noticed, but it seems like the ~3 purity rotation no longer yields duskborne aethersand.

In the patch notes they listed this change for 3.x nodes:

The types of items that can be obtained via aetherial reduction, and the frequency with which they appear has been adjusted.

And of course, SE being SE they didn't elaborate on what was changed.

I've been doing some tests, extensive tests on 3 purity, though not so extensive on the others, and so far I've noticed:

Duskborne is now only available from the level 56 item, from 5 to 8 purity.

Dawnborne is now only available from the level 58 item, from 5 to 8 purity.

Land/Leaf/Seaborne are now only available from the level 60 item (NOT the starred one) of the respective class, from 5 to 8 purity.

Note there are no more "hidden" items, all 4 items are visible all the time.

Again I still haven't done very extensive tests, but with the little I've tested seems like you won't get the "useless" sands when you're trying to farm dawnborne, but it also means duskborne now got harder to farm as you now need to spend extra GP for 5+ purity.
