Fisher's: have you caught Killifish?

I have been trying for several hours and about 6 stacks of Midge larva to catch this singular fish. Does anyone know more about its requirements, ie weather, bait, time, tug type, hookset? Any more info is appreciated. I've tried scouring Google but there's minimal info on this thing right now.
It is a collectable fish and I was gonna try to catch it for that, but now I just want to log it in my journal and move on lol.

Just tryin' to toss this out here for help (also because my FSH just hit 60 today... so I will also be trying to get this when the time comes.) But as you said, it looks like all there is is minimal info. But I'd keep my eye on this page for now. (Any 60+ leveling tips btw? Like which leves/fishing spots are optimal? XD)

don't bother trying to get killifish for collectibles, its to annoying to even deal with.
from 60-63 just stay with the first collectible fish from the fringes, yeah its a grind but its better to have something more consistent than killifish.
from 63-66 you can go spear fishing for sea pickles, at 61 you unlock spear fishing but its not worth it till 63. sea pickles are leve turn in. from once you get to 66 you can do i think its sea lamps for leves and at 68 you can do Mitsuriku Shark which can be found where the sea lamps are just gotta do the whole bat fishing to make them pop up.
ohh right use the small jig when spear fishing. all of these are caught in ruby sea

That is good advide for other fishers. My FSH is already 70 though.
I dont even want Killifish for collectibles now. Just completion. Have spent hours and still havent caught one. Which is funny if you read the read fish's tooltip on MB. It says its found in rivers and lakes all across Othard....
Certainly doesnt seem like it :P

I finally caught a Killifish yesterday. Azim Steppe - Nem Khaal (right outside Reunion) - Clear Skies, small tug, precision hookset, midge larva bait, roughly 2-3pm ET.
This thing is not worth attempting for scrips that's for sure.
