Ivalice moogles can use similar proportions to current Lalafells. It would be good to have another short race for a change. Also, very feasible lore-wise, for them being a whole different kind of moogle that are less mystical, and more evolved to cope with the ambient.

OMG i didnt even think of the Ivalice moogles....I actually liked their designs quite a bit!

I make fun of all the races, esp the little potato lalas XP Don't take it seriously (However I am a fantasia addict so I see it as no big deal)

Another option would be to add an item that changes your characters appearance, that way you won't need to do any work with armors, just slight weapon adjustments and animations. Could also be used for testing feral races out, see how popular it gets. Just some more suggestions
