Trick attack or not, opener remains opener. I don't think you can find something else to start a fight with or without TA. Plus it's not quite the same thing for nin depending on teamates/ fights, their are at least 3 differents ones only for nin.

I got a question, I main NIN since the start, but what materia are best for NIN now? Is it still DH and Crit?

Do I put Determination as well?

If I trust the intel on the SAM thread, Crit is better than DH IF the total of them is 3500+ points. That said, I don't think we can go this high right now, so I would say DH is better than CRIT yeah. For DET, you can put it on gear that are already capped into dh and crit, around 1300 is fine.
The thing with stats now it's that each one boost the others, so besides crit and dh i'd say, having something """spread""" is the best. Go to aryiala and try things out with your own gear to see what to do.
