    Please move Raise/Ascend/Resurrection to cross role

    These skills are exactly the same, so by Square Enix's logic, they are skill bloat and need to be removed and retaken again.

    This is exactly the same case for Esuna/Leeches/Exalted Detriment. For consistency's sake, please move these skills to cross role.

    Let's do cure psykik and whatever and asts one is while we're at it.

    Sure the asts won't mind as it'd actually be a 20 potency increase for them I believe. but theyre all the same thing

    How about we just combine all 3 classes into an Astrolar Mage. That should make it a lot easier to balance, right.... right?

    No, I will not stop pointing this out when it comes up. I'm still entirely convinced that they just ran out of healer role ideas and someone farther up said they had to round out 10 abilities.

    Funny thing probably the only reason they didn't make raise into cross role was because of DPS casters. If they made raise a job cross role spell that would either meant taking it from the SMN and RDM, or making raise a cross role skill for casters, which would have meant giving BLM raise.

    I'm not really sure what the point of the OP was, but to me at least it pretty baldly highlights how homogenized a ton of abilities in each healer's kit is. Whether or not that was the intention I don't know (lol), but that's the one thing that's always bugged me - the developers assuming that healers "needed" carbon copies of various abilities in order to perform the basic function of their job. Cleanse and raise are one thing, with the way this game was developed, but identical 400 potency base heals? Identical 300 potency AOE heals? AOE regens on every healer class? 30% throughput buff (until it was arbitrarily nerfed with Largesse)? Instant cast oGCD high potency "oh crap" heal? Uh, ok.

    When you put it like that, it is kinda silly how many abilities healers could have moved to the "cross-role" pool just because they serve pretty much identical functions for healers across the board.

    It's not trolling. Having Raise and equivalents on the cross actions makes the same amount of sense as having Esuna and equivalents there. If we're going to force healers to take common skills again, at least do it for everything. If you pick and choose irrationally then it makes no sense. Gotta go all the way.
