Thread: The Problem of Hunts and early pulling in 4.0

Real talk, why expect people to wait around? I usually wait 2 minutes tops as anyone meaning to get there will get there and get full marks from that time (depending on how fast the hunt melts). If you take your sweet ass time getting over here, that's on you. If you wait 5-10 minutes for people to come around, cool! You're a very kind person to strangers. Kudos to you. I just got other things to do after the hunt dies, like shortening DPS queues.

To be fair, ARR hunts die so fast it can be virtually impossible to make it unless you're the one who spawned them/came across one. Had an A rank this morning that was dead literally seconds after it was put in my hunt linkshells. This is why I think they need to have ARR hunts scale nowadays. They simply don't have the HP for level 70 hunters, especially A ranks.

But then what about players with only access to ARR content or only HW content? Sure there are not all that numerous but we can't scale the hunts in the ARR and HW zones and risk these guys to be locked out of a feature that they paid for by buying the game right?

PS, I know being locked on HW content is extremely rare since buying SB gives you access to HW but consider someone with HW that hasn't purchased SB yet.

If hunts scaled the players down like it does for FATEs, that is no longer an issue. Regardless, content shouldn't cater to the smallest minority. How many people are hunting before hitting 60+? Plenty of features are gated behind levels. It just sucks how ARR hunts are basically at the mercy of someone not pulling it the second they see it.
