You know, I think I've figured out the problem.
When a DPS does well, they get a high number of damage done. Positive change.
When a healer does well, they get a high number of HP healed. Positive change.
When a tank does well... the hit you take is less impressive.
Like, that's it, right there. By its very nature the thing that shows you're doing your best at specifically what your role is meant to do, either doesn't do much damage because you reduced it, or something that was meant to kill you instead only almost kills you. But even if that's impressive for a moment, in the moment of glory you're still almost dead.
It's cognitive. There is only negatives to doing well as a tank. They're just either slightly less negative, or so much less that nobody cares.
"does well" as in pushes a single button and you take less hits. the problem is that reducing damage and holding aggro is pass or fail, there's no skill ceiling at all. A tank that can stay alive and contribute extra damage however is more rewarding and beneficial.
No it's not fine, plz try to contain your ignorance. Everyone in the game besides tanks will continue to scale from right side besides us, that's a huge problem. You are either not a tank or an extremely bad one this come here and say something when you are this misinformed.tank damage has to scale from all equipment just like all the other classes for there to be balance.You get STR upgrades on left side gear from raids, you're fine. Besides tanks job is to absorb damage, dealing it is just an afterthought.
You're tanks not DPS, and raids are calculated based on basic tank damage output in tank stance nd DPS's damage rotations. Healers damage isnt taken into account, and obviously raid will be balanced around tank DPS in full VIT gear. So don't worry, babe.
That's being good at the game. That's days upon days of running the same fights till you sivk of hearing the songs to try and get better as a player and as a tank and develop the skills nessicary to play at a high level. That's hours and hours of pouring through fflogs to figure out where you are missing gcds or activations or how you can better mitigate damage. That's tanking when your not lazy and when you actually want to go out and figure out how your class can truly shine. I'm tired of people like you getting up in arms about the dps meta just because you don't put in the effort or try to gain a better understanding of how it works to get good enough to perform on the same level. YOU DON'T LIKE IT BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANT TO PUT IN THE TIME AND EFFORT TO EARN OR EVEN UNDERSTAND IT. So stop. Plz.
Tank Candy is telling your group that you got this, tanking a hit, and standing at the brink of death. Tank Candy is making sure that your team is playing at their best and achieving the most efficient kill. Tank Candy is being rewarded for the risks that you and your team took through jolly cooperation and synergy among your members. Tank Candy has never been about HP stacking and HP waste but making use of Encounter EHP and proper mitigation techniques. Tank Candy is seeing a kill time that 5 minutes faster than the other team.
Oh, is this some weird form of soft doxing? Argue against your point of view and you'll out people as not being hardcore raiders? Should we quake in our boots?
::rolls eyes::
The hard initial scaling is already done. The DPS getting another (maybe) 200 Str/Dex/Int over the course of the expansion from the right side is inconsequential in every regard to the Tank/DPS relationship because the largest increases are on the left side. You could literally give it to them right now and the only difference is you have to keep your tank stance on a little longer.No it's not fine, plz try to contain your ignorance.
