In the FCx2 > infuriate > FCx4 rotation , your do each fell cleaves at 100 > 75 > 100 > 75 > 50 > 25.
In P4X's rotation, Fc happen at 80 > 95 > 100 > 75 > 50 > 25 is it's pretty much the same thing but you do benefit from 5s shaved off infuriate and using S.path plus you get an Upheaval which Eir_Z couldn't do in his rotation.
Regarding saving Infuriate for berserk and not taking advantage of the trait, it's a dps loss.
Using an additional FC outside of berserk thanks to the trait is a straight 300 potency gain whereas fitting FC in berserk window is only 100 potency gain (30% of 300). Only for IR window is important to have Infuriate up because the potency per gauge is doubled.
And the beauty is that if you use Infuriate on CD, you do get it back right before an IR window. The trait is there for a reason.

I'm still not seeing it. I don't see how you can get Infuriate to cooldown within the 40s that Zerk is down following Zerk + IR. What I've been doing is this:
80 gauge - use SE combo.
100 gauge > heavy swing > Zerk + IR (80) > Maim (90) > Upheaval (80) > SP (100) > FCx2 > Infuriate > FCx4 > Zerk+IR end > SE combo to refresh buff.
This leaves me with 0 gauge (the HS for the SE combo is the last move done under Zerk and IR), 40s of CD left on Zerk, and 20s of CD left on Infuriate. Now, what you're telling me is that by adding the 5th FC earlier in the rotation, I can take another 5s off of my Infuriate CD, giving it a 15s CD while Zerk has a 40s CD. This, apparently, gives an "extra" FC in the downtime between Zerk's, yet I don't see how you can reset the CD on Infuriate before your Zerk is ready again. Assuming you hit Infuriate exactly when it comes off CD (Zerk has 25s left on it) that "extra" FC is only shaving 5s off of a 60s CD, putting Infuriate at ~53s while Zerk is sitting ~23. This means you won't have the Infuriate available for your next Zerk, cutting your Zerk'd FC's down by one.
Now, I know you say that it's a "straight 300 [sic] potency gain" but I'm not seeing that. I mean, first off, FC is 500 potency, so 30% of 500 is 150, meaning a Zerk'd FC is 650 potency compared to a non-Zerk FC. Using an FC out of Zerk at the cost of Infuriate (and thus losing one FC during Zerk) is a net loss of 150 potency. It looks and sounds to me like using FC under Zerk as much as possible is the better approach. The more Zerk'd FC's you get, the better. This necessitates saving Infuriate for Berserk. Using FC during a non-Zerk'd time is fine; you don't want to waste gauge generation after all. But blowing Infuriate during a non-Zerk window? I don't see that being a better option than saving it for Berserk.
