I'd say to pick what you prefer in terms of gameplay and style-wise, don't pick SAM just because it's currently overtuned (next patch will bring it down a few notches despite still leaving it as the strongest melee dps since that's the job identity) since you want to be stuck with it for the long run and unfortunately SAM and NIN don't share any gear.
