Deciding between NIN and SAM?

Currently stuck trying to decide which one to main. I enjoy the aesthetic of both classes, think both classes are cool but have both at 50 so I am missing a large portion of skills to help with my decision.

Which do you think is currently more fun? Has better looking spells/gear? Just overall thoughts in general regarding the two classes. Which class is a better choice for someone who picked up the game a few weeks ago.

The skill level for both to "git gud" I believe is the same.
They are both very complex characters to be good at, I would have said SAM if you hadn't played NIN before. Because it is more forgiving, if you mess up a combo or rotation.
With the NIN, I find it personally very hurtful if I mess up something due to lag or mechanics or something.

But since you have NIN to lv 50, then you are probably used to it now. So it won't really affect you.

You like long katana or a dual dagger sneakiness style?

I like SAM and AOE and KATANA.

Do you prefer slow but steady, or flipping all over the place?

With Samurai you get some flashy sword skills, but your character doesn't really move all that much.
With Ninja, you flip around, kick, spin, teleport strike, etc.

Also, SAM AoE is super flashy, as he becomes a blender of doom, spinning through the mobs.

Pretty sure NIN is the god dps class. It's always had one of the most powerful raid dps utility tools, good personal dps and synergy with the tanks.
NIN is like, the one ubiquitous job in all progression/endgame/speedrunning content since like 2.5, no?
I know this was true for Midas, for Creator and I believe for 2.4/5 too. Not sure about Gordias, but I'm guessing it was also the case.

Yea, Nin may not be as "strong" as Sam, but as far as group dynamics go, it is much more valuable.

Im under the impression that SAM is top and NIN is close enough that they are even if you factor raid utility. Honestly I do find SAM more forgiving because I live in Canada my Mudra lag is a little frustrating at times. and I like both katanas and sneaker daggers so its a really hard decision. I hate that I don't have kenki abilities to help me decide. Maybe I should take the SAM to 70 just to see if I like its full kit and then do the NIN right after or visc versa?

I do like the idea that a well played Ninja would get noticed for his utility aka good suiton trick attack timings.

I'm in this same boat. Trying to decide which I like better. Both have good dps, so it really comes down to which you like better. I'll likely have to level both to 70 to really decide. Conversely, since I really dislike the positionals that all melee have in this game, I may end up sticking with something ranged.

I hate to say it but given how crazily strong samurai is right now, everyone and their mother should want to have 4 of them in the party LOCKED.
