Overwritten Service Account

Is there an easy fix to an overwritten service account?

My girlfriend's laptop is on the fritz so I purchased her a copy of FFXIV for PS4. When registering, she accidentally clicked on "Create a New Service Account" and it seems to have overwritten her profile completely.

When logging into the Mog Station, it shows that she has registered her PS4 copy with all expansions, but her Windows copies are gone. In addition to that, she reupped her subscription yesterday and went from having 60 days to having 30. My guess is the 30 is from her free month for registering the PS4 copy.

When logging into the Lodestone, her character is flat out gone. In fact, I'm posting on her behalf because she isn't able to post anything in the forum because she doesn't have a character.

I've submitted a ticket, but everything I'm reading sounds like we may be completely out of luck. She really, really, doesn't want to start over, and I don't blame her.

Can anybody at least give me some good news as far as her character data being recoverable, or that her time card she entered yesterday isn't lost forever?

Each Square Enix account can have up to 8 service accounts (8 different subscriptions with the same login details), so if she clicked create new, she's either added it as a different service account, or she's created a completely new account with new login details (which is why you can't see the other character).

When in the Mogstation, you can select which service account to look at from the tabs at the top of the page:



If you're not seeing these tabs and/or there's only 1 service account, then that means the old character is on a different account/different login details. If you are seeing this then in game you switch service accounts using the "Data Centre" option on the main menu. After you select one, if you have multiple service accounts it then prompts you for which service account to use.

SE have forms for both situations though (according to the forms, it may take up to 2 weeks to fix):

There's a bit about unlinking PS4 ID too, but sorry no idea about that part.

Hopefully you can work out which you need, but otherwise might be faster to call SE so they can confirm what you need (these forums are only for players to help other players, there's no official support here).

You can't overwrite a account you can create a totally new one though as other person said with different log in information.

Yeah, you've had to create a new mogstation account, and are now in possession of 2. If this is the case, you're probably outta luck because SE isn't likely to merge the two accounts, however you might try their live chat to see if they can help you.

She should have simply logged into her mogstation account because there is an option to add keys for different platforms, which would let you use your character on both.

Or if you did make a new service account under an existing mogstation account, you'd have to select the service account as shown above. If you did this, SE may be able to merge the 2 service accounts and play time aswell.
