[SPOILER] Kansui and the Fisherman Legend

I just got through with a sidequest in the Ruby Sea where a young man became enamoured with a singing woman from Sui-no-Sato. I had to help them speak with each other, but in the end, they resolved to never meet because they were too different.

The kicker here, is that the young man's reason was because of an ancestor who met a woman from Sui-no-Sato and left to meet her, only to never come back.

Sounds a bit like the Legend of the Hyur fisherman who married the back-then Ruby Princess.

So...why didn't my character mention this? Not sure if it would make too much difference, but, I felt at least the man should know his ancestor survived and became royalty.

Our character rarely interjects when it would be appropriate. We also don't heal or attack people in cutscenes when it would be appropriate. Also, under the stated circumstances, it is entirely possible that the two characters are unrelated. Of course they are because it is here in a story-based world but we must consider said possibility.

The truth of the legend is also up for debate. The only people who saw this all transpire were the Raen Au Ra who lived underwater and the Kojin. The Raen maintain their history through oral tradition, likely because it is really hard to get a ready supply of dry paper under the sea. And only one Au Ra was able to corroborate the legend and even he was unsure as to the entire story's reliability. The Kojin would probably be less helpful, unless they pull out a crystal that acts as a recording device from that era. Silly.

So yah, some things are best left unsaid.

I was hoping this would get continued in a sidequest like Hildibrand's or something new. Since Xaela got a whole zone to them i figured, Raen should get some love as well in a form of long post MSQ sidequest like Scholasticate or Hilidbrand

Yeah, I mean, I guess I can get that some things aren't meant to be, but, it seems like they just did that out of spite?
Or, maybe just didn't want to be bothered?

The post-Shisui quest line to save Kurenai's cousin was nice, and it would be pretty great if you had something that did a bit more. But I wouldn't say they ignored them. They'll likely revisit the Raen at some point; they wouldn't go through all the trouble of making an entire palace/town for them replete with all this lore about how they came to live under the sea if they weren't going to do something with it. I hope.
