Crashes since 4.01 DX11

Since 4.01 my game has been crashing a lot.

At first I thought it was something related to Direct X or my sound. Because right before the game crashes I heard a popping sound in my headset.

I reinstalled DirectX just to make sure that it wasn't that, did no good still crashed. Updated Video Driver... still crashed.

Same here--DX11 crashes on every single pull of Susano EX (10+ crashes).

Having the same crashes very often while trying to raid. I have found it to be more common when having discord open.

I get that same error, several times per day.

Also noteworthy is that my headset is connected to my Xbox One controller through a Microsoft Stereo Headset Adapter. If I pull the headset from the controller, or the controller disconnects from my PC (due to batteries dying or any other reason), the game instantly freezes and crashes.

FFXIV's audio engine ridiculously sensitive, and it's a problem.

Also getting the same crashes, multiple times every day in seemingly random intervals. Sometimes i can play for one hour with no crashes and sometimes it will crash every five minutes. My GPU is a Gigabyte GTX1080. The game is almost unplayable in this state. I already tried reinstalling the game, updating my drivers, rolling back my drivers, playing in both the directx9 and 11 versions aswell as multiple other random things i've found when searching for a fix online but none of it worked.

Same here, on a system with a GTX980 TI. Tried all solutions suggested here but the crashes keep coming back. Sometimes things appear fine for a day or two, then I crash five times in the same dungeon.

I reached out to SE support and they said they were aware of it but did not know when the developers would fix it.

They asked that I keep an eye on these forums ... problem is I have not seen anyone from SE even acknowledging this bug in their client here, let alone offering a timeframe for a fix ...

I've tried it all, as well. Also did not crash until 4.01. Frustrating.
