Why are crafting/gathering sets in Stormblood class locked?

Why are DoH/DoL levelling sets now locked to those classes only? None of the other gear prior to Stormblood was.

It's a minor complaint but it does lock down glamouring even more, and I'm really not sure why SE would make this change? Who is it affecting positively?

I guess it stops people cheesing ilevel requirements by equipping high level DOL gear with no battle stats... but I don't think any non-trolls ever did this in earnest. Does seem a shame, even though the aesthetics don't tend to do anything for me personally. I'd love for the glamour situation to be permanently resolved at some point.

There were some lvl50 sets class locked. The DoH/DoL equivalent of AF, basically.

Levelling gear never was though. Some of those lower-level sets can and still are used for glamours.

I'm not a fan of it either. I was super happy to find out there was a version of the Wranglers Vest without the weird belt stuff attached - and a dyable one at that! -, only to find out it was class locked to DoL ._.

We really need to just be able to glamor any piece of gear that any of our classes can wear over any other piece...

Is it possible that they can patch it at some point? I just dont get the reason for it. The lvl 65 gathering set is adorable and DYEABLE! And we can only use it for gatherers, while previously it worked for all jobs. WHY.

I cant get behind battles classes not being able to wear gathering/crafting equiment, but I really feel like it should be glamourable. Probably would require a way to complicated change on their way to complicated glamoursystem though -.-
