As the title suggests, I've run into issues attempting to update to the 4.0.1 patch on my PC. I was playing fine on this computer Monday night, then Tuesday when I tried to patch before the servers came up, I ran into this error messasge:

Unable to launch FINAL FANTASY XIV Updater.
[11035][30425][30415][32][19900][32]
C:/......./FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn/downloads/ffxivupdater.exe

So, I've tried running that .exe file on its own, of course it tells me it must be started from the launcher. I've tried tethering to my phone as a change of ISP. I've tried releasing, flushing, and renewing via ipconfig. I've tried rebooting, shutting down, facing northeast while eating a taco on Windsday (FFXI humor, can't be beat). I've tried running the launcher as admin. I've tried disabling my AV/firewall (Kaspersky Total Security should it matter).

Oh - the usuals - Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, all updated as per Microsofts demands.

Any sage words of advice? Googling brings up many posts on Reddit from 2013 onwards with a variety of people having new and special issues patching every few updates. I've tried moving the downloads folder out to another location thinking to force the launcher to try again - but it seems the downloads folder is locked by another process even when I've just done a complete shutdown and restart long before attempting to start the launcher again.

I'm not above uninstalling and re-installing, just thought I'd check first to see if others here have had a similar problem and found a less nuclear option.

Thanks in advance!
