    solution for VIT vs STR tank issue

    As a solution for the above, i have a simple solution that SE can implement. 2 steps :

    step 1: make tank use disciple of war accessories, remove VIT accessories from the game
    step 2: increase VIT scaling on the left side armors for tanks, to accommodate any VIT losses

    If the above makes Tanks too strong DPS, SE can still tune with modifying their potency or weapon dmg modifiers.

    This would be a nonissue if they allowed overmelding on accessories ONLY to accommodate STR melds. Overmelding % chance needs to not be so ridiculous though. No one wants to go through str melds on all accessories at 20% chance or lower... Minimum cap should be in order 100% chance for first 2, 80% chance for 3rd meld 60% chance for 4th meld, and 50% chance for final meld.

    Heaven forbid they make crafters useful again.

    So you wanna force every tank to pay millions of gil to get STR? Why not just bring back HW VIT?..

    That doesn't solve the issue. The issue is if they have both HP and AP dependent on one stat, it is very challenging to balance both, which makes sense, since via one stat they're dependent on each other. I think Yoshi's argument was that HP became inflated? If you lower VIT on new gear, that would just lower tank AP, and that may not necessarily what they want.

    As stated, all they need to do is put STR on Fending Accessories, really.

    Or give Tenacity a role in tank damage that is meaningful, it is our role specific stat after all. That way VIT scaling isn't an issue and our gear is already dripping with Tenacity.

    The solution is to buff the DPS stances and remove any and all penalties from swapping stances...leave everything else alone (except maybe make tenacity suck less.) Your job as an active tank is to hold aggro. Your job as non-active tank is to DPS (or handle other mechanics) while getting ready to take aggro when needed. Tanks don't need to do high DPS while actively tanking - if you want to be doing high DPS all the time then play a DPS. Ever hear the phrase "can't have your cake and eat it too?" It applies here...

    This argument is so tiresome. Can you please quote from above where a tank is asking to do dps role numbers.

    adding str to fending fix the issue and have 0 impact on gameplay , and balance , since fending gear is only for tanks , so u can add more or less.

    the point is that right side for tanks only adds HP and minor stats , while other classes get a boost on DPS or healing and thats just plain unfair.
