Cant get past Summoner Quest Level 35 and Main Quest Level 40 "The Herectic Among Us.

I've been upgrading equipment to high grade, I have a level 38 Summoner and a lot of high quality level 40, I can't get past either one. The level 35 Summoner quest always ends with my helper falling, no matter what. Same with "The Herectic Among Us" no matter what class and equipment I have. What an I doing wrong? I can no longer use cross classes anymore either and whatever happened to Carbonized Matter Level II? I cant find it in the gathering log or the sales board anymore.

SE remove Carbonized Matter Level II from the game when SB release.

cross classes are now call Roles skills.

So with the new expansion, cross class skills no longer exist for combat classes. Instead, everyone gets "Role Skills" depending on what class they are. Role Skills are automatically learned based on your level. So take a minute to clean up your hot bars. Remove the skills that either no longer exist or are no longer available, and assign the set of Role Skills you think would be most useful to you.

I cant directly answer the summoner question. I havent leveled it, and dont know that quest. Many solo duties can be sorted out with 2 particular tricks. Listen to what the NPCs are saying - they often explain exactly what you need to do to win. Failing that, take all the hate you can unto yourself and make sure you kill priority targets asap. You are much better at dodging aoes then any quest NPC will ever be(and im not sure i need to say this, but while you are holding hate dont stand next to the guy you need to keep alive), so if theyre focusing on you they arent killing your helper. High priority targets tend to be DPS units and healers.

If im remembering it right(its been more then 2 years, so its possible im mixing this fight up with another), the Heretic quest in particular is one that is easier if you assume the hate. The wyvern is essentially invincible, so you just want him to focus on you while you finish killing off the others. His main attack is an "I fall down on you" cone, so dont let it hit you and dont position him so that he hits your friends. Any archer NPCs in particular should be dropped asap, as they tend to kill your friends rather quickly.

As for carbonized matter, i dont think it has a purpose in game anymore. They left in the grade 1 because its used by the miner and maybe botanist for their level 10(ish) quests, but the rest were just removed. Best of luck!

How do you make the Wyvern focus on you while killing the others? That seems to be the flaw for me, whenever I attack the others, my NPC helper is being attacked. And how do prevent the Wyvern from attacking your friend? By the way, it was the Berzerker I tried yesterday, level 40 with all high quality equipment.

You could use Titan-Egi because (Summon II) it's a pet wich generates enmity and often used as pseudotank in instanced battles. Should be enough to bind the Wyvern on it.

Just because you arent hurting it doesnt mean it isnt noticing. If youre going as warrior(im assuming thats what you mean by "berserker") then use defiance. Provoke him once, hit him with an overpower. Once you have his attention, you arent likely to lose it. Anyone attacking your friend, go get their attention. If theyre weak, kill them outright. The tougher ones you can drag around with you a little if needed. You have a few ways to regain health and reduce incoming damage, so draw as many attackers onto yourself as you can, and use your skills to overcome.
