Are there any plans to take the arcanist as it would have been in 1.0 and turn it into a full-fledged job? I thought you could make it work similar to FINAL FANTASY XI's geomancer with the distaves instead of luopans and have the quests make you work closely with the arcanists' guild. I imagine it wouldn't have the "one designated area ability active only" restriction that scholar does (Sacred Soil/Shadow Flare), also, since the job would have almost no spells to cast directly onto enemies.

Maybe make it the arithmetician, since you loved taking classes from FINAL FANTASY Tactics anyway. I'm not quite sure how you'd implement numbers, though.
