The reason why Samurai is so strong is said to be because they offer no raid utility.
Do you plan on making other jobs in other roles equally as strong if they offer no raid utility, such as White Mage and Warrior?

This being a premium cash mount, and you guys mentioned that it was in the works. I was just wondering what the status was on making Odin fly.
Thanks!
Do you not like SCH or SMN for whatever reason? Last expansion they seem to have gotten a lot of love. This expansion it seems like that love was ripped from them, T.T
I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.
I am in a rare situation that only the most committed of FFXIV subscribers are in.
I've maintained a subscription to FFXIV:ARR on a 180 day renewal. As a legacy player buying the game on PS3, the free time for returning + physical copies on other platforms + other free time that has been granted, my last renewal was on March 30th.
I got the free day associated with the NA data center move and participating in the Preferred Worlds campaign, my renewal date is now October 12th with a total of 87 days of paid subscription during the July 1st to September 30th qualification period for the Fly the Falcon campaign and there is no way through Mogstation to re-up my subscription early.
So my question for the live letter is this: Is there any plan to re-evaluate or extend the Fly the Falcon Campaign promotion so that players like myself that took advantage of the Preferred Worlds campaign but have a mis-timed automatic billing cycle can have a chance at participating?
i was thinking if this does happen maybe change bard to pure support like instead of healer dps and tank add another role called support jobs like bard fill and maybe add a alternate class to archer like ranger from FFXI where all the dps abilities go and just like how other jobs like arcanist has summoner and sch or other base jobs that have two upgrades maybe give archer both bard and rangerRecently it was mentioned that the "ability to influence the party's damage" is a determining factor in a job's balance.
Has the development team ever visited the idea of focusing on this concept when designing a job, to create a play style that would be primarily supporting their party (for example, FFXI bard)? If so, are there any key points of that discussion that you'd be willing to share?
thanks to the incredibly useful idea of being able to right click a name to report rmt its for the most part removed the previous annoying rmt spam but sadly some times they still do it and can take away for a dev to remove the account to stop the spam
any ideas on how to speed up the inspection like check the chat logs of that person after being reported like that so dev can decisively remove them
and as much as i agree with mem i wonder how would you get rid of bots? ive seen some that use normal looking names so how will you pick them appart from normal players so someone wont get wrongly accused?
i would like to elaborate on this by asking will we ever be able to use are squads for something useful such as maybe take them into dungeons with us after meeting certain requirements i think this could solve the que wait time problem if people just brought there squad with them
one thing im wondering since i prefer sch but it isn't that good in sb i heard mention earlier of possible hybrid classes maybe make sch a hybrid tank healer or healer supportCurrently Astologian is an extremely strong job that, for some people, is starting to take the identity of the WHM and SCH. It can heal as much as WHM, and mitigate more than SCH, while offering extremely strong utility.
Are their any plans to try and reassure the identity of the two healers in this expansion?
or reassure the identity of sch by giving it the ability to remove debuffs that the other two normally cant since mitigating is a tricky thing im guessing thats why stone skin was removed so if sch cant be the healer mitigater then maybe it can be hybrid healer or healer with debuff mitigation instead of only dmg mitigation
When will Rogue become a starting Class?
i would like to know what would you do besides just taking away other skills ? in sb all we saw is lots of abilities disappearing in particular the extra dot options sch&smn had will taking away abilities be the new way you alleviate keybind/skill bloat?
