Thread: yet another thread about 90Ks

EU playing on NA Gilgamesh (Aether data centre). I had almost no problems with Stormblood launch itself up until yesterday, when Omega launched. Jumped onto my main to pick up and unlock so I could play with my partner, and got into the instance and... got 90k'd.

to be more specific; targeted the teleportation device to go forth in the instance and got stuck, not moving anywhere, unable un-target, etc, for about 5-10min until the game finally 90k'd me. After this, I was able to keep playing enough to unlock the first Omega duty and queue up, but I made the apparent unfortunate choice of porting to Quarrymill for something and... it all went downhill from there.

My character doesn't load in, and as she does, I have the d/c symbol next to my name. I can't interact with NPCs, do anything else, etc.... for about 5-10 mins again until the game 90k'd me. If I log back in, I get much the same, so I am essentially locked out of my main character for the time being.

A couple of other EU friends have had a similar sort of problem, and I'd read something about how it may be an unfortunate side-effect of anti-DDOS measures put in place by Square that considered EU accounts trying to ping NA servers as part of the ongoing DDoS. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If I am posting in the wrong forum, please let me know? If I could port out of Quarrymill, I might even be able to play, but as things are, my character is stuck.

I'm in almost the same boat, just that I only get seconds before being dumped out rather than minutes. I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post on, since there doesnt seem to be any actual technical support provided...

Supposedly the bug reports forum is where we're supposed to be reporting this.

Done that, ticket too...and of course the posts on the forums.

I'd cast Esuna, if it didn't get me a 90k like every other combat action >.>

Well it was day one so not surprise however I'm in Balmung and rare I get a 90k. ( exception of early access were servers were unstable. After 2 days everything was fine. ) I have a dedicated line for gaming so I don't really think is the game and could be the provider. Being today isn't a holiday hopefully things get smoother for you guys. Does anyone else use your internet? have enough band with? Are you running multiple devices such as internet services like Hulu, Netflix ? Have no pending updates running on the background? ( I had to disable mine back when I was playing FFXI do to random D/C do to it. Just a few suggestions.

I rarely get 90ks.... I have had noting but bother since patch 4.1. I DC if I teleport. I arrive invisible and seconds later im out. I cant complete the initial Omega quest with Cid... I get past the cutscenes, go up the Pink "elevator", walk 10 yalms then im out. I have managed only one period of crafting in Kugane, but have been sticking to walking into local areas to avoid DC... but then the minute I start fishing / gathering I DC again... I cant even make it to my personal housing... It says that technical difficulties have been resolved... but no luck What do I need to do?! *Desperately seeking movement*

I had very little problem during early access and launch itself, aside from expected server instability and queues, this has only just began occuring yesterday. However, to answer your other questions; it is just myself & my partner on our internet (who also plays; he has luckily yet to encounter the same problem). Our bandwidth is notoriously terrible, however, we have little issue when other devices are not connected to our internet, thus clearing up the bandwidth, but it appears that these sudden issues have come out of left field and are not related to our ISP. I play on PS4 and have set the console so that it did not do automatic updates in the middle of play; however I think this probably prevents me from using a VPN as others are doing to circumvent the issue.

[as an update:] I have sent off a ticket too for response, so I suppose we'll see if I get a response.

My FFXIV service functioned fine when my wife was playing ESO at the same time until this last maintenance. Nothing changed from my end. This is such a widespread issue among different providers and from different countries I think the only sensible explanation is that this is from Square Enix's end.
