Can't do instances as a Summoner? Switch to Scholar!

Spoilers for Azim Steppe MSQ plotline.

When doing the instanced fight for the Naadam, I went in as a Summoner. Found that Scholar is, for the purposes of this instance, a vastly superior DPS job than Summoner.

I'm not making the argument that Scholar does more damage than Summoner in general. SMN damage over time against bosses is greater. But Broil II is better than SMN in this instanced fight.

Had bought full HQ gear, best available for SMN. Failed. Didn't want to pay for a full SCH set. So SCH ilevel is slightly lower.

SMN: Three attacks minimum to kill anything. Failed miserably twice.
SCH: Any enemy that wasn't a named NPC died in 1-2 Broil IIs. Steamrolled the trial.

Haven't played Scholar past fifty before now. Never did the 50 scholar quest. Still haven't.

Note: Was burning MP as SMN with Ruin III. Still no dice. Wanted to explain further, but forum has 1000 character limit.

Dunno what you did wrong - that was one of the most funniest quests in the whole storyline arr&hw included. How can someone have any problems with it... every job should handle it more or less easily o.o
