What Damage Dealer Do You Find Most Enjoyable to Play in SB?

Hi everyone! It's Kacho Nacho again.

With the release of Stormblood, there has been a lot of posts complaining about the changes to the jobs. Yet, I see a lot of positivity when I'm playing the game. Players have raved to me about their samurais and red mages. I also continue to see black mages, ninja, and dragoons happily killing mobs.

So, let us fan away the cloud of negativity for a bit. Let us also ignore such issues as utility and dps and focus on playability. What damage dealer do you find most enjoyable to play now that Stormblood has been released?

Red Mage is a ton of fun, to the point where the mechanics of the class were actually pretty enjoyable to play detached from the game in the Red Mage simulator that was made about two weeks before Stormblood Early Access dropped.

Most people will only have 1 at this point, but my NIN is 69 so I will almost have a 2nd opinion. DRG is fun imo even if its not a popular opinion. It feels like a class that rewards creativity with good BotD management but it doesn't screw you over if you aren't looking to completely optimise. Just not a fan of the actual output.

It will always be popular because it's another nerd fantasy class with cool animations and super edgy armor which harness the power of MF dragons and it's not super hard to play so on a base level DRG is pretty good.

Red Mage by far. They may have touted Samurai all through the pre-release campaign, but Red Mage is definitely the hidden (red) jewel of Stormblood.

im enjoying brd a lot , the new procs and songs made it tons of fun.

cant talk about other jobs yet , rdm is "ok" , i was expecting more to be fair , but is still fun , but once u got the timing going is 1-2 (3 if proc) 1 4 (5 if proc) ,at nearly full mana u go in and do your melee combo of 1-2-3-4 (verholy verflare based on your mana ) u look badass but outside that melee of rdm can be a simple macro :/

So far, it's been SAM to me, but in fairness, it's also the only job I managed to get to 70 yet.
MNK so far looks quite solid - it hasn't changed that much, which is good, but the forbidden chakra's animation time keeps being a major hindrance at my latency, considering we're now using it more often. I wish they'd reduce it (again).
The removal of cast times has made BRD and MCH instantly more enjoyable when trying them out at 60, but I'll see how they hold up after I finished monk. The fact flamethrower cancels when turning (or autotracking) seems like a major turn-off already however.

    The rest... can't comment!

It's good to read so many varied opinions. Some of you express a like for one particular job, while others have a favorite but like other jobs too. It's wonderful to see everyone liking their own little thing in Stormblood.

Please keep those posts coming. Inquiring lalafell want to know!

Oh BLM for sure. I already liked how it felt at 60 with the new changes but it's amazing to play at 70. Foul is just so good, not only for the damage but it helps smooth out the rotation and always gives you something to cast. Our aoe dps is nuts as well and between the lines and aetherial manipulation gives us pretty good mobility.
