Personally I'm the same way. The content isn't difficult. People make it difficult. See video of a FC mate doing POTD.

i'm never going to run potd without fc members again
randos are a plague like why would so spend so much effort to aggro fight me, to where you are always a hit away from it, and then decided when I try to swap with this rando, he decides to stop hitting the boss until I die
spite so hard it caused the entire group a complete failure

My girlfriend, whom i met on ff14 is an awesome player. She takes her role as tank serious enough to learn all she can, tries her best to communicate any issue she is having. Always says she new to content, even if its her 3rd run. Over the years, people do give her a hard time when she fails. It sucks, and it doesn't help she has ASD.

I hear you. That's why I made this post. A lot of folks, I think, should just relax a lot more. Everything doesn't have to be perfect or rushed to perfection faster than humanly possible.

We should have fun playing this game and when you don't have fun playing this game then there is not point in it. Your gf should bever be berated like that. Being helpful is the name of the game.

Maybe it is my positive attitude, but I rarely encounter much negativity or outright rage from others.
If you've only experienced amazing groups then that's awesome. Sadly, for some folks, this isn't necessarily the case.

She did just try the new tank buffs and they help, outside a drg and smn killing different mob, she had no real, enmity issue. Just sucks the smn had their pet on sic, (some mobs kept getting knocked back.) but she will ask dps to use enmity reducers if dps enmity is to high. Just shame ppl find it funny.
unlike jp DC , NA dc seems to think berating ppl is better then working together.

I'm proud of her though, she tanks well considering. And she tries to be pleasant and communicate, in spite of her disability.

Difficaulty is subjective from player to player. your "easy" could be their "savage/extreme".

And also subjective to jobs, a tank might find a fight easier then a healer.

The people who choose to make it difficult are selfish players who always assume their the majority instead of communicating with the group and coming up with a compromise.

Like a healer who will use rescue with our warning to demand large pulls, to dps who keep fighting stuff, that the tank asks them to not attack. Ora healer who picks a dps skill over a heal when the tank is close to death.

to dps: watch your enmity, let the tank mark mobs so runs can go smooth. Let the tank pull, the tank knows their limits. Don't pull ahead, don't run ahead. Use skills that help the group, not just blindly do dps. Attacking mobs at random, or solo killing a mob to pad your parse doesn't help the group.
I get this point. As a person who mainly enjoys playing as DPS classes I never understood why people dont watch their agro or at least if you pull agro either use an agro reduction skill or jump to another enemy and allow the tank to regain control. Hell even on boss fights I have pulled from tanks and just stopped dpsing all together to allow the tank to regroup and regain control. Its really not that hard to be not only considerate but also know that everyone has their role and you are doing yours poorly being an ass.

We call those kinds of people "Jerks" in my neck of the woods. They, as a rule, over-estimate their own performance, and are quick to spread blame be it over the morning toast being burnt, to someone eating the last Oreo. Jerks get to be on the internet just like everyone else. You have to deal with them IRL. You have to deal with them here. FORTUNATELY HERE, as was mentioned, we do have that trusty blacklist. Too bad you can't do that IRL.

Beware tough guys with helicopter memes. They were the ones in the rear with the gear now acting like the tough guy with the thousand-yard stare.
