    Just wondering when and how you get the items and gil for switching to a non congested server?

    You don't receive a gil bonus for transferring to a new/preferred server. If you had an apartment/house that you gave up in the transfer, the gil is credited straight into your balance. Similarly, the golden chocobo feathers are delivered straight to your inventory.

    Try doing "/isearch chocobo" in the in-game chat. That may help. If you moved from a congested server to a new/preferred server, or from any server to a new server, you should have got them. I believe if your transfer wasn't free, then it wasn't a transfer eligible for the rewards.

    Items delivered through mail can sometimes take a little bit. Try logging out and back in. If it still hasn't pinged you, just keep on for a little bit and should go through. I waited about three hours once for Bennu to go through after I bought it.
