I haven't either. Out of maybe around 100 games over the course of the week, MAYBE I had two AFKers out of all 100 games.
Square trying to remove a problem that wasn't really there.
I'm confused by the PotD experience listed in the chart, I'm only getting 367,200 experience per run of 51-60 at level 58, half what you have listed (and only about 10% per level).
That takes into consideration the 50% (60+...100% pre-60) armory bonus. If you do it on your highest level job you will only get ~2/3 what the chart says.
Does this take into account average match times vs time to clear dungeons, and the duration EXP changes at all? Prior to today, a Shatter/Seize match could be 9-11 minutes on average, wheras PotD can often take anywhere from 12-20 minutes. Dungeons usually take even longer (~25 minutes?). Solo fates are pretty slow to complete as well.
For me, even if the PvP EXPrate/minute isn't quite as good, it's still a little more engaging than leveling roulette or the 300'th PotD run. And more options are always good to break up the grind. Will usually run dungeons a bit as tank/heal just to get used to the party play.

There's just no way that 20min average dungeon duration + queue is accurate. I'd wager the average leveling dungeon run alone takes more than 20m . Let alone the fact that most people (hence the longs queues) aren't playing tank or healer so there's no way that on average people get near instant queues.
Of course people are able to actually complete other exp rewarding activities while in queue but that's another issue altogether
Sharing a post here that I originally made on Reddit about PVP EXP. I think it bears repeating on the OF.
TL;DR - the people hurt are core pvp'ers due to longer potential queues, and casual pvp'ers who see this as a great way to level - even if theyre not great at pvp. afkers still win, they dont care and are still getting xp.
its unfortunate honestly, and i see this as a net loss for everyone with the approach that SE took with the pvp nerf. for a okay-ish player like me - the EXP was a great carrot to get me into pvp (i'm only a 25% win rate at Frontlines). with the nerf and likelihood of losses, i will be queuing for pvp substantially less. opting for a more steady and reliable xp gain / speed of leveling - likely POTD.
while i dont believe i represent the entire community, i feel that i am not going to be alone with the above, especially as se continues to cater to newbies - and folks with limited time. from that i believe pvp queue times could increase - making getting in for your core pvp'ers longer.
the real issue is that afkers will still afk. they're not doing anything already, they show they already dont care. so i dont think getting xp slower is going to deter them - they dont care.

From my experience most of them weren't really AFK in the traditional sense - they weren't just standing at the spawn point doing nothing. Instead they were running around in circles in a quiet area of the map, or they were on their mount moving slowly against a wall. I'm not sure if it's still the same now, but if you take a look at the match statistics when it ends you'll see a few players at the bottom of the list who did barely any damage to ice or other players - not in a wow, they must be bad at this sense, but in a wow, they literally did nothing sense. In some matches I was seeing a couple of players who did literally nothing, no damage, no healing and died several times.

Personally I don't think experience should be a PvP incentive in the first place - or if there is one it shouldn't be half as high as it is. There are already several mounts and minions from PvP along with well over 1,000 achievement points available from it (The Feast alone has 64 individual achievements associated with it).

I just want to say as a hardcore PvPer: We did it cause we enjoyed it, not because of XP. We'd have still played because we enjoy it even if XP wasn't given. You've got to understand until 4.0 PvP was a bit of a dead end endgame activity as far as progression was concerned. And the community that formed around it treated our leveling and PvP as 2 separate things.
It sucks that numbers will perhaps drop off and queues may become longer, but if you tried it and like it, keep queueing. At least now you GET XP. Don't do it purely for leveling. Run your dungeons, run PotD, do FATEs; get all the leveling done that you want to. But when you wanna compete against other players for fun, leave your level at the door, and give it your all.
