This would not surprise me, but considering where the story went, I never actually checked from when I unlocked it until...Ever, I suppose. Should look in on it.

I actually had this happen on Wednesday. Said to a group I'm gonna be doing Omega. They then proceeded to run down the fight mechanic by mechanic before I'd even started the questline for it (it was day 2 content as this point), I said I wanted to run it blind in which I was told I'd annoy everyone in DF. Funnily enough, every group I was in only pointed out one or 2 less obvious things (in fact, I didn't figure out how to do parts of 3.0 until AFTER I'd done the fight), but never got angsty. It wasn't a completely blind run, but it wasn't completely spoiled either. A middle ground which given it was DF, I can understand.
Then I had another friend saying I should read up on a guide when from experience, I've found they make me play worse in the content. Shoving in the odd tip or trick about an individual thing is one thing, but full blown guides just confuse me. They told me 3 times to see the guide, despite me saying the previous 2 times it didn't help. I left the party. Then after that they realised they'd gone too far, apologised, and accepted guides don't help me, and didn't pursue it any further. At this point I then agreed to rejoin the group.
White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.

Except in the case of Ala Mhigo, the dungeon icon is hidden until you unlock it in the MSQ. So even the devs consider it enough of a significant spoiler to not show that it's a dungeon until you reach it.
